People often say: "There's will, there's way" and that is a very true quote for j-hope. From a young age, j-hope has shown his passion to pursue the artistic path.

The story is told by the former teacher at the dance academy that j-hope attended. His teacher heard the story from his mother and witnessed the growth of j-hope in 6 years.
Ever since he was a 10-year-old boy, j-hope had dreamed of skillful dance moves. When j-hope was in 4th grade, he soon realized his love for choreography. So j-hope convinced his parents to let him study at Gwangju Dance Academy.
At that time, he was the youngest member to train there. He attended Joy Dance Academy, located on Geumnam-ro Street, from 10 to 16 years old: 6 years in total.
If you've heard Chicken Noodle Soup many times then you'll remember the familiar 'Geumnam-ro' he mentioned. That's where he spent his teenage years nurturing his dreams.
But the journey to raise his dream for the past 10 years has never been easy. To have enough money for j-hope to pursue his dream, j-hope's mother worked two jobs at the same time.
Even j-hope's mother has to work far from home to earn money to support her children. Thinking about his mother's hardships, he appreciates his dance lessons to be worthy of his mother's efforts.
Therefore, from an early age, j-hope knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. Based on his mother's support and love, he tried day by day to reach where he is today as a member of BTS.
During his time at the academy, j-hope had to study at school and then had to take a bus for over an hour to the dance academy to practice choreography. Even so, j-hope never missed a single lesson.
The former teacher at the Academy where j-hope attended said that once j-hope fell in love with dance, he would give it his all and never give up. He also always showed his enthusiasm for choreography while attending the academy.
With that passion, he never complained about the long distance to the academy. He also practiced until 2 AM every night.
Not only that, but j-hope didn't even want to finish practice early and missed the bus to go back home. He chose to sleep over at his friends' house to practice more.
After entering middle school, j-hope joined a dance group in his hometown to perform more professionally. He also became the youngest member of the dance group in Gwangju that j-hope mentioned in 'Chicken Noodle Soup' - NEURON.
This is also the time when he began to make his mark in his hometown. j-hope's name and skills gain popularity in his hometown.
j-hope is real proof that you can always achieve your dreams, as long as you put in the effort, put in the time, effort, and perseverance necessary to make them come true. What j-hope has achieved today is worth the hard work his mother and father have gone through.
