ARMYs Outraged As The Crowd Keeps Filming Despite Jin Looking Uncomfortable & Self-Conscious

It is no surprise that K-pop idols are frequently surrounded by fans wherever they appear, as they are “celebrities” and “public figures.” However, there is always a line between public events and private space. It would not be an issue if idols are surrounded, photographed, and cheered by fans during pre-announced schedules, major events, or public venues.

But if it is “outside of the idols’ working hours” and in places that are not official events, it constitutes a violation of privacy, or plainly speaking, rudeness. ARMYs have repeatedly reminded fans within the fandom to respect the idols’ privacy in places where they appear, but it seems that the warnings are not effective for everyone.

Recently, despite the lively atmosphere following Jin’s Milan Fashion Week, ARMYs could not hold back their anger at the actions of a crowd, believed to be fans, who followed him when he went to the Gucci Store to pick out clothes on the 25th.

Notably, the crowd did not just surround him, making noise on a street corner and in front of the store, but also held phones and cameras close to take pictures of him. Despite Jin showing he was unprepared, with a bare face and attempting to cover his appearance with his hands, they did not put down their recording devices.

Seeing Jin’s uncomfortable and exhausted expression made genuine fans extremely angry. On online communities, fans left critical comments under videos circulating Jin’s appearance today:

- Does he look like he’s happy to being photographed ? No

- He literally did not want to be recorded. Why are you keeping filming?

- I feel bad for him; he deserves some privacy.

- He didn't want to be recorded. Hope people give him some space

- That video is kinda harαѕѕment. He looks uncomfortable. You should prioritize his safety instead of sharing it

- He is clearly uncomfortable being recorded. Please delete. Or is a нιт tweet more important to you, than respecting him

- I don't understand he clearly doesn't want yall to take an pictures/videos, still yall are walking w him and your stupid αѕѕ cameras like????

- He obviously shows signs that he is uncomfortable and doesn't want to be recorded but you still posted this video??

- You clearly know how much his looks matter and still shoved the camera in his face

- He tried to hide his bare face and you still got that close? Seriously?

- Bro, you know he cares about his visuals, yet you still held the phone inches away

- Please don’t share these pictures. He didn’t want to be photographed. Let’s respect his wishes.

Even though Jin has a handsome bare face, he is a celebrity and naturally wants to show fans the most polished images of himself at all times. When he is not ready to show his face, and the context is everyday life rather than an official event, the actions of these fans are seriously inconsiderate.

ARMYs are calling on fans to consider the idols’ feelings and avoid gathering in large numbers at non-official locations. They point out that genuine fans should know their limits in the relationship between idols and fans.
