RM Has A Disease That Prevents Him From Getting His Driver's License

No one can't deny that RM of BTS is one of the best leaders of K-pop groups. His intelligence, bravery, nice personality and talent make him a perfect idol.

But there's a shortcoming that even RM has to admit and take seriously that he's the only member who doesn't have a driver's license. It makes him feel more genuine but reality also shows that he needs to get over it.

But it seems that RM recently revealed one reason why it's hard for him to get a driver's license and be proficient in the use of cars:

Among the members of BTS, RM is the only member who does not have his driver's license. All the members including the youngest member Jungkook also have a driver's license and are very proficient in using cars.

Through the videos recorded during BTS's trip, it is also shown that except for RM, the other members all drive when they travel together. RM's favorite means of transportation is his bicycle, and he even rides his bike to work.

On a previous occasion, he shared that he was afraid of driving because of his careless nature. Both RM and the members implied that it might be in everyone's best interest if he never got behind the wheel. They once teased RM for his inability to drive but eventually agreed that he probably shouldn't be driving due to his "God of Destruction" reputation.

SUGA even told RM that he "shouldn't drive for the peace of the world." However, that doesn't seem to be the whole story of how RM hasn't taken his driving test yet. There seem to be many other issues that have made RM think hard about this decision, one of which was shared recently.

Recently, RM shared the results of an eye examination. The top of the paper shows the prescription he needs for glasses which are on the right -7.75 and left -7.50. He has both high myopia (a rare inherited type of high-degree nearsightedness) and astigmatism (a type of refractive error).

Medically, astigmatism occurs when the cornea or lens is curved more steeply in one direction than in another. You have corneal astigmatism if your cornea has mismatched curves. You have lenticular astigmatism if your lens has mismatched curves.

So his eye exam shows that RM must wear gläṩṩes to look "normal". Otherwise, his vision is quite blurry. Not only that, but his astigmatism especially makes driving at night difficult. So this could be another reason why he doesn't want to get his driver's license.

Previously, RM was said to have a driver's license but he later denied this. He also stated that next year he will have to think more carefully about taking the test and getting his driver's license.
