Over the past few days, the ARMY community in Chile has been on edge after the Chilean National Sports Institute (IND) refused to authorize the use of the National Stadium in Santiago for BTS's scheduled concerts this October. This also means that the two concert dates by the global superstars—an event that sold out approximately 50,000 tickets per night since early April—have suddenly been left in uncertainty, with no clear indication of whether they will go ahead as planned.
Fans' overwhelming concern stems not only from the expenses they have already incurred, such as airfare, hotel bookings, and travel plans arranged months in advance, but also from the emotional significance of finally having the opportunity to see BTS after such a long wait.

Throughout the past several days, ARMY has continuously submitted petitions to local authorities while calling on all relevant parties to issue an official statement regarding the situation. However, aside from HYBE's response yesterday that the company is reviewing the matter and will provide an update at a later time, the event organizer DG Medios had remained silent, further heightening the tension.
Fortunately, on the 5th, a more positive development finally emerged!
According to The Clinic, concert organizer DG Medios has shown a more open attitude during its recent discussions with Chile's Ministry of Sports (Mindep), bringing both sides closer to reaching an agreement that would allow BTS's concerts to still take place at the National Stadium. Specifically, DG Medios is reportedly willing to accept one of the alternatives proposed by Mindep. The most notable option would be to hold the concerts at the Central Coliseum (Coliseo Central), located within the National Stadium complex. This solution would eliminate the need to relocate the entire event to another venue while still meeting the ministry's requirements to protect the stadium's facilities.
To comply with the Ministry of Sports' conditions, the company led by Argentine businessman Carlos Geniso has also expressed its willingness to cover the full cost of installing a protective ground system. Under the proposed plan, BTS's mαѕѕive stage structure, along with the entire floor au∂ιєnce area, would be placed on a temporary platform made of steel and high-strength plastic positioned above the stadium's natural grαѕѕ surface, minimizing the risk of damage to the pitch after the concerts.

Other alternative proposals—including relocating the concerts to the open grounds of National Stadium Park or Cerrillos Park—have now been ruled out. Earlier, when Chilean Interior Minister Claudio Alvarado proposed these alternatives, they were met with strong opposition from fans and even local officials. The reason was that these replacement venues would not be able to accommodate the number of tickets already sold, while their infrastructure was also considered inadequate for hosting a concert on the scale of a BTS show.
However, it is important to emphasize that the agreement between DG Medios and the Ministry of Sports regarding the use of the Central Coliseum for BTS's concerts has not yet been officially finalized. Both sides are continuing to negotiate the remaining details before making a final decision. Even so, this latest development is widely seen as a significant step forward in the negotiations between the event organizer and the government authorities. Observers believe that a final solution could be approved within the next few days, bringing an end to the controversy surrounding one of the country's most highly anticipated international concert events.
Following the latest developments, Chilean fans have expressed a considerable sense of relief while also sharing a variety of opinions on the situation:
- So basically they'll have to spend more money..... Just pay it already, but please give us an official statement so I can sleep peacefully tonight without being scared of a sudden notice from HYBE
- Thank goodness there's finally a positive update. I know nothing has been confirmed yet, but this definitely gives me a lot more hope than I had yesterday
- I've been suffering ever since all of this came out!! There's still faith though
- Things are looking super sketchy right now, but all we care about is that they give them clear and concrete answers
- I mean, the fact that the promoter is just now showing 'openness' to accepting the scaffolding structure makes it clear that it was never even considered in their initial contingency plan. Otherwise, they would have just shown that it was already included. Instead, DG Medios just stayed silent
- They better resolve this issue soon! Traveling from abroad with everything already paid for just for this to happen is completely unacceptable!
- This is the first piece of good news we've had in days. I'm really hoping everything gets finalized soon so the concerts can go ahead as planned
- Bottom line is, I hope this isn't just a scam to squeeze more money out of them. DG needs to cover the cost for the extra protection
