To celebrate their 9th anniversary, BTS hosted their annual FESTA Dinner Party. They also made a shocking announcement during that time.

The members revealed that they would be taking a group hiatus. During this period, each will focus on releasing solo albums.

Though the word “hiatus” is used in the English subtitles, Suga‘s words can also be translated as “off-season” or “off-period.” Suga states, “Anyways, we’ve now entered an off-season…” signifying the members are already in this phase.

Naturally, ARMYs were shocked by the subtitles, indicating a hiatus. Many even interpreted it to mean that BTS was disbanding.

Although during the Festa Dinner Party, the members made it clear that they were not disbanding, it still seems to be a matter of confusion that some ARMYs cannot clearly perceive. Right after that, the value of HYBE's shares dropped significantly.

After that, HYBE and CEO Park Jiwon denied all rumors about BTS potentially disbanding and the group's next plan is to combine group activities and individual activities. At the same time, a few minutes ago, Jungkook also confirmed this again.

Jungkook revealed that when he woke up, he saw "BTS hiatus" and "BTS disbandment" trending on social media. So he wanted to clear things up. He mentioned: "I thought it was right to get this clarified in case there were any misunderstandings. BTS is forever."

The youngest member denied all disbandment rumors. He emphasized that the group still has a lot of group activities planned, including the variety show Run BTS.

He said: "I’ll say this again but we have no desire to disband. We still have a lot of group activities left, and there will continually be more in the future. So you don’t have to worry about that."
