ARMYs Trend Hashtag #HeartofTaehyung To Defend V Amid Criticism Over His Recent Post Following The W Korea Event

As fans are well aware, W кσяєα’s “Love Your W 2025” event has faced heavy criticism, and as a result, the celebrities who attended have also been caught in the crossfire. Among them, BTS members — especially V — have been subjected to the harshest backlash.

Despite Dispatch clarifying that all the fault lies with the event’s organizers and that celebrities like BTS merely participated for charitable purposes with no control over what happened, public outrage has still been directed toward them. Perhaps it’s because they are the most famous among more than 90 attendees, even though many other top-tier stars were present.

It’s also possible that toxic individuals and haters deliberately used this event as an excuse to damage the group’s reputation. Following the controversy, numerous false and negative stories targeting RM, j-hope, and V began spreading rapidly online.

Many even dug up past moments to pile on accusations against V — calling him “the most problematic and weird idol.” Haters compiled a list of so-called “incidents” to support their claims, but ARMYs didn’t stay silent — they acted swiftly in response.

ARMYs launched the hashtag campaign #HeartofTaehyung, providing evidence of V’s kindness and compαѕѕion while defending him against false narratives. Within the first few hours, posts under the hashtag reached over 58,000 interactions, directly countering attempts to tarnish his reputation. The latest data shows that there are currently around 22,000 posts under this hashtag.

First, regarding the accusation that his ambαѕѕadorship for Coca-Cola Zero кσяєα implied his support for a brand that “backs genocide in Gaza,” fans pointed out that it was clearly stated from the start that Coca-Cola кσяєα has no connection to Coca-Cola U.S. — the entity that BDS is calling to boycott.

Next, haters claimed V behaved aggressively toward female fans and had a “ρєяνєятed” mindset toward women. Examples cited included a video allegedly showing him pointing a phone at a group of female fans at the airport or “roughly holding” a fan’s hair at a fansign.

However, what’s seen in the video is just the tip of the iceberg. The so-called “female fans” he was chasing with a phone were actually sasaengs invading his privacy — not ARMYs. He was merely teaching them a lesson. Meanwhile, the clip of him “grabbing a fan’s hair” was just a playful moment; the fan later confirmed that V was gentle and kind throughout their interaction.

Haters also accused him of being overly affectionate with female celebrities and questioned his intentions. In reality, IU, Suzy, and Bada Lee are longtime close friends of his. Moreover, their relaxed and happy demeanor around V shows that he makes women feel safe and comfortable.

During the #HeartofTaehyung campaign, ARMYs shared countless moments showing how V protects and respects women, as well as his genuine kindness toward others.

Toxic individuals even dragged up an old 2022 Instagram post to criticize him. In that post, V stood beside an artwork titled “Lunatic Beauty,” which depicts two figures — a nude̸ woman and a dog — among red flowers, accompanied by the phrase “innocence is a form of insanity.”

In another slide, V shared the αмєяι¢αn Beauty (1999) movie poster featuring actress Mena Suvari (as Angela Hayes, age 17) lying on a bed of red rose petals — a visually similar image. Some people labeled it “weird,” “disturbing,” or “dark.”

However, ARMYs quickly pointed out that αмєяι¢αn Beauty is renowned for criticizing moral decay, not romanticizing dark themes. Similarly, Woo Kukwon’s painting questions how society defines innocence. V’s post was entirely harmless — an appreciation of art and film, not soмєтнing inappropriate.

There were also absurd claims, such as saying that V tying a red scarf on his head was “яα¢ιѕт” or that singing along to a song with explicit lyrics made him “immoral.” Naturally, none of these hold any weight against his globally recognized good character and the positive things he’s done for society.

Posts under #HeartofTaehyung also detailed his charitable contributions, even during his military service. Fans recalled how he wrote letters to lonely children, adopted an abandoned sick puppy, promoted вℓσσ∂ donation and save a life...

Thousands of similar posts highlighting V’s golden-hearted nature and filled with love for him flooded social media during this movement. The wave of positivity effectively drowned out the false accusations and negativity. Still, fans are not letting their guard down — they continue to call on others to join the campaign to protect their idol:
