Jungkook Beats Justin Bieber On This Spotify All-time Chart Feat

Jungkook has only recently returned after nearly two years of absence due to his military service. His most recent songs and solo album released before enlistment were also from 2023. However, his musical achievements and influence have not diminished — in fact, they have become even more impressive.

On the 18th, fans once again celebrated as Jungkook and Seven made history on the Billboard charts. His debut solo single Seven ranked No. 143 on the Billboard Global 200, a chart that measures streaming and digital sales in more than 200 countries and territories around the world, including the United States.

Accordingly, the song has remained on the chart for 116 consecutive weeks, setting the first and longest record for a single — including those by both Asian groups and solo artists.

Similarly, Jungkook and Seven have also maintained a strong presence on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, ranking No. 88 as of October 18, marking 117 consecutive weeks on the chart — the longest and first record for an Asian solo artist.

But that was not the only good news for fans to celebrate that day. Another piece of news that made fans even prouder and more excited was that Seven officially climbed to No. 76 on Spotify’s list of the Most Streamed Songs of All Time.

Notably, this new achievement surpαѕѕed Justin Bieber’s 2015 нιт Sorry, which currently sits at No. 77. Sorry is known as one of the key нιтs in Justin Bieber’s career, representing the Purpose era. The song debuted at No. 2 and eventually reached No. 1 in 2015.

Moreover, Justin Bieber has long been recognized as a symbol of the “digital-born artist,” with songs that consistently rank among the top in global streaming numbers. Therefore, the fact that Jungkook and Seven have managed to surpαѕѕ Justin and Sorry demonstrates the significant global streaming influence of the K-pop idol.

Previously, Seven also set an impressive record on the streaming platform Spotify by surpαѕѕing 2.59 billion streams, becoming the first Asian song ever to achieve this milestone. At this rate, breaking new records for Jungkook seems unstoppable in the near future.

Seven was first released in July 2023 and immediately became a global нιт, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping charts around the world. Two years later, its continued popularity and longevity on playlists prove that its appeal has not faded.

The solo achievements of Seven have been confirmed on major global music charts, including the Billboard charts in the U.S. and the Official Charts in the U.K., once again proving Jungkook’s standing and further solidifying his legacy. In the highly competitive global music market, the name Jungkook is showing signs of becoming a new standard.
