Life is inherently a combination of complicated relationships, so people with pure hearts like Jungkook are easily hurt. Over the years, he has always been praised for his golden personality but no one expected that it was once his weakness.
In an interview, Jungkook shared about how he was betrayed by the person closest to him. That first betrayal gave him the most memorable lesson of his life and since then, it has changed his spirit and thinking.
It was definitely an unpleasant memory for Jungkook but looking back, thanks to that incident he has grown a lot:
Life is complicated, but showbiz is even more famous for being full of doubts and traps. That's why BTS is respected as a moral role model among celebrities because they have never been involved in any controversies related to their behavior or attitude. However, just because BTS in general or Jungkook in particular have good personalities does not mean that the people around them are the same.
Most recently, the Performance Director of HYBE, also a veteran dance teacher of BTS, Lee Byung Eun was arrested for taking advantage of the reputation of the group as well as HYBE for personal gain over the past 10 years. Well, someone who had a close relationship with the group did not hesitate to betray the members just because of his benefit. Unfortunately, this is not the only person who did that to BTS or Jungkook.
Jungkook himself once admitted that he was betrayed by someone close to him in the past. When he first encountered this situation, he found it very difficult to face, but later, it became valuable lessons to help him grow. In particular, the experience of being deceived or betrayed by people he once considered friends greatly affected his mind.
Initially, he mentioned that certain points of his personality had not changed. "I was warmhearted and trusting as a child, and I still am", he pointed out. He gives his love freely to those who will cherish it and treat anyone well without a doubt. But then he revealed that because of his pure and kind personality, he had been taken advantage of by others and "Until they broke my heart", he had changed his personality.
Jungkook said: “I give my all to those I love". He added, “My groupmates all acknowledge this,” Jungkook continued. “Sometimes, I worry about what’s going to happen, but I’m lucky enough to have my groupmates beside me, which is reäṩṩuring. But if I depended on them too much, it would be like hiding behind them, so I need to be able to stand on my own.”
Jungkook realized that he too easily gave trust and kindness to others after being betrayed by someone close to him. The incident also left a scratch in Golden Maknae's heart, making it difficult for him to trust anyone other than the members and be open to new relationships. However, that was also the turning point for Jungkook to realize he needed to protect himself and be more careful in any relationships.
Meanwhile, fans feel heartbroken for what Jungkook went through in the past. This is understandable because not everyone has enough sincerity to treat him like the BTS members. Furthermore, thanks to meeting such people, Jungkook can learn to behave more maturely and realize who is important and treats him well. The best thing is that even though Jungkook has grown up, he still retains his original heart to put it in the right place!
