j-hope has started his solo journey in his career. Of course, we are all very excited and excited for the return of j-hope after Hope World.

But the most special thing, some K-ARMYs have discovered that j-hope initiated the idea for this album a long time ago!

A few hours ago, Big Hit Music suddenly drops a short teaser with the title j-hope "Jack In The Box". These are the first signals marking the solo career of j-hope as well as BTS members.

This is something that has been predicted before the BTS members revealed that entering the 10th year they will focus more on members' solo activities. Each solo album will more clearly show the musical colors as well as the individual personalities of the BTS members.

But before getting excited about what j-hope will show in his personal album, ARMYs were curious about the title of the album. Some ARMYs explained that a jack in a box is based off the myth that the devil was casted into a boot to protect a village in England. Hence why its literally called “a devil in a box” in French.

j-hope even said in an interview that he wanted to show his ‘darker’ side with this album and the j in “jack” is literally a boot. 

On the other hand, some K-ARMYs pointed out that j-hope hinted at this from outro Blue Side in his Hope World mixtape over 4 years ago. The Blue Side full ver has a jack in the box on the cover and pandora’s box written on it and pandora’s box is a greek myth of a wife opening a box and releasing a ton of curses onto the world (something a devil is capable of doing).

People also pointed out the meaning of j-hope's album name and it really fits his personality. j-hope ever mentioned there were many things he realized that were hard to change just by thinking about it and instead he learned to accept what was given to him, even the shadows hidden in his soul.

However, "that doesn't mean I'm going to stop", he isn't here to stop. j-hope will be showing us with 'jack in the box' many many times. 

Some even discovered similar images of j-hope related to Jack in the box from years ago, even from 2016. ARMYs are wondering how he can planned his solo album so many years ago.
