For a long time, the concept of the fansite and the people who run them—often referred to as masternim—has existed within the K-pop fandom. A fansite is an account or personal page run by a fan that specializes in following, photographing, filming, and updating information about a particular idol or group. They primarily operate on social media platforms (Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Weibo, YouTube).
At first glance, some fans might think the activities of fansites conflict with issues surrounding idols’ image rights. Indeed, every image and sound related to artists is a commercially valuable αѕѕet and is strictly controlled by their agencies. However, this long-standing fansite community has in practice been tacitly permitted by the companies, because both the agencies and the idols benefit greatly from these fan-run outlets.
Although they post images and fancams of idols, fansites are non‑commercial in nature, focused on fan engagement and free promotion of the idol’s image. In fact, some fansites are respected and even protected by agencies, which regard them as a form of marketing—leveraging the fansites’ large influence to amplify the idol’s image. Moreover, the photos and videos taken by fansites often align with fan community trends and easily go viral on social media.
BTS’s fansites are no exception. Among the fansites for BTS members, NUNA V stands out as a leader, noted for following V to events for 12 years!
More than just a long‑time fan, NUNA V is famous for close‑up shots of V at events—photos that were taken with the idol’s permission. V even thanked the fansite, saying: “Thanks for watching me today and thanks for taking such pretty pics too. Keep watching me no wait, keep snapping me. Make me look cute, okay?"

Like other top fansites, NUNA V’s specialty includes V’s iconic fancams, which attract anywhere from hundreds of thousands to millions of views on YouTube. One fancam of V performing “Pied Piper” from 2019 reached 3.3 million views, ranking among the most‑viewed idol fancams. The channel currently has over half a million subscribers.
As one of the best sources for high‑quality V videos with many years of fancam experience, ARMYs were ѕнσ¢кed when the fancam capturing V’s most recent performance at Jin’s Incheon encore concert—“Love Me Again”—was taken down due to a HYBE copyright notice just three days after upload. What outraged fans most was that other fancams remained unaffected while HYBE suddenly targeted this particular V fancam.

Upon discovering the takedown, fans immediately requested that HYBE review the copyright action. On Twitter, numerous expressions of outrage aimed at HYBE for its action against NUNA V were shared, tagging the company’s official account. Fan responses recorded included:
- Why is V’s fancam currently “unavailable due to a copyright claim” when the individual fancams of other group members and the group fancams can be viewed without any issues? We demand that HYBE respect BTS member V and treat him fairly. @BIGHIT_MUSIC @HYBEOFFICIALtwt
- Yes i saw that other members fancams of their full performance are still there. Eg JK’s snty. Why the double standard @HYBEOFFICIALtwt?
- It's very sad that Kim Taehyung is being treated so cruelly. We, his fans, do not agree with this. We will stand by Kim Taehyung and NUNA V
- I see the video on her YT account, I think it’s restored. Why they do that with her and his fancam?
- This is not even the first time. Her video is non‑profit, please, restore it.
- V performed 'Love Me Again' popular fancam was removed by @HYBEOFFICIALtwt copyright claim. What is your reason this time ? Why is NUNA V's fancam deleted?
The volume and intensity of fan backlash appear to have had an effect. On the morning of November 6, some fans breathed a sigh of relief when the video was once again visible on NUNA V’s YouTube channel.

“Love Me Again” is one of the rare stage performances fans have been able to see in the past three years since V enlisted. That is why ARMYs treasure NUNA V’s fancam so much. They celebrated the fancam’s reactivation with comments like:
- We're going to watch it a thousand times!
- Thank GODDDDDDD, It’s back, watch it now
- Good news for the day
- If HYBE doesn't restore the fancam, I think I could set their headquarters on fire
- Yes is back now, at least HYBE doesn’t ignore fans’ comments
- How precious is this fancam — thank God it’s back
