Former Miss Korea and Famous Actress Opens Up About Her Bias in BTS

BTS not only attracts young fans but also has a long list of famous “superfans” in the entertainment industry. In particular, even senior figures from generations before the group, including Yoo Jae-suk, Cho Yong-pil, married couple Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, and actress Seo Woo, have openly admitted to being big fans of BTS.

Recently, the list gained a new name — actress, model, and former Miss кσяєα Son Tae Young!

She was crowned 1st runner-up at the 2000 Miss кσяєα pageant before representing South кσяєα at Miss International, where she went on to win the 1st runner-up title. After entering the entertainment industry, Son Tae Young mainly pursued acting and appeared in numerous television dramas and films. In 2008, she married renowned actor Kwon Sang Woo. These days, the actress spends much of her time taking care of her family and sharing glimpses of her life in the US through her personal YouTube channel.

It was through the latest content on Son Tae Young’s YouTube channel that fans discovered her pαѕѕionate love for K-pop superstars and became even more excited when they heard her reveal her BTS bias.

Specifically, the actress recently uploaded a vlog documenting her trip to a BTS concert in New Jersey, US, giving viewers an interesting glimpse into the experience of a celebrity fan attending one of the group’s concerts in person. In the video, she traveled to the venue with a close friend to enjoy the performance of the world-famous group firsthand.

Notably, Son Tae Young did not hesitate to reveal that she is a fan of j-hope. Before heading to the concert, the actress was seen wearing a T-shirt released as part of the BTS rapper’s solo Hope on the Stage tour. She explained that she had initially planned to buy a shirt featuring a design related to “Arirang” to wear to the BTS concert, but the merchandise had already sold out.

“We're j-hope's fans. Today, well...Because we were originally just trying to buy "ARIRANG" t-shirts and things like that. But they were completely sold out, so we ended up with j-hope's...Yeah, from his concert 2 or 3 years ago! At least we get to wear this,” Son Tae Young shared.

As she approached the concert venue, the actress could not help but notice the fans’ eye-catching outfits. Son Tae Young humorously admitted that she and her friend felt somewhat “outshined” because their outfits were too simple. “Honestly, we don't really know how to dress up or get hyped like the younger fans, so... ah! Look at all these young kids right now, they all look so stylish!” Son Tae Young said.

Inside the stadium, Son Tae Young was once again amazed by the sheer number of people who had gathered to support BTS. Looking at the sea of fans from different age groups and nationalities, she excitedly remarked, “Wow, there's such a diverse crowd here. As expected from a world-clαѕѕ group, they really are on another level!”

When the concert officially began, the atmosphere inside the stadium became even more electric. The fans’ synchronized cheers delighted Son Tae Young and her friend. During the show, the two even burst out laughing when they realized that most of the au∂ιєnce was standing throughout the performance while they were sitting in their seats.

Later, Son Tae Young decided to leave the stadium early. The actress explained that she was worried that if she waited until the concert was completely over, too many people would leave at the same time, making it difficult for her to get home. “This is really no joke. If I leave any later, I might not be able to get home,” she said. Son Tae Young added that she naturally prefers to stay one step ahead and be proactive, so she wanted to quickly get on the shuttle and head home.

Images of Son Tae Young enjoying the concert atmosphere, particularly the moment when she enthusiastically identified herself as a j-hope fan, later spread widely and attracted attention from fans around the world. On social media, ARMYs could not contain their excitement as they discussed the moment: "Tae young ssi and her friend are so cute", ""We are j-hope's fans" There u go .... Slayyyy", "Wow wearing hos shirts too! Respect", "Imagine me and my friend living our U50 fangirl life", "This is so exciting!", "She has taste! A j-hope stan through and through!", "Omg I did NOT expect her to be a BTS fan, let alone a j-hope fan! Love this so much", "We love a queen with absolute TOP-TIER taste",...
