Obviously, in this moment, ARMYs must seem very excited to prepare for SUGA's solo concert and busy with the ticketing process. But seemingly enjoying the excitement for a while, ARMYs are exploding with anger over Ticketmaster's way of selling tickets.
 
This BTS concert ticket distributor is being criticized by ARMY for problems related to pre-sale tickets for SUGA's upcoming tour and is questioned about transparency and fairness. This made ARMYs who really wanted to buy tickets annoyed and angry.

Here's what ARMYs are criticizing about the ticketing system:

Last month, SUGA announced his first solo Agust D world tour. He will perform 20 concerts in five countries, including the United States, Indonesia, Thailand, ̾s̾i̾n̾g̾a̾p̾o̾r̾e ̾, South kσrєα and jαpαn from April to June this year.

This is of course soмєтнing ARMYs have been waiting for for so long and SUGA's live performances will set fire to our summer this year. But an equally exciting part of the concert process is buying tickets, and we all understand how stressful buying tickets can be.

Ticketmaster was not reαѕѕuring either when, just a couple of days before tickets went on sale, they announced that not even every Verified Fan would be able to secure tickets. They claimed that ARMYs would be selected “lottery-style” due to the high demand.

At the time, ARMYs called out Ticketmaster for attempting to “sc@m” fans. They especially criticized the Official Platinum Seats, which, according to Ticketmaster, “are premium tickets to concerts and other events made available by artists and Event Organizers through Ticketmaster. They give fans fair and safe access to some of the best seats in the house":

- Just say you want to scam us and move on. Sick of this sh*t.

- I’m scared of what will happen! I have ptsd from PTD in LA

- They don’t have enough to meet the demand. This is gonna be fun for them.

- I put the wrong number in when I registered for the presale tickets (new ARMY) and with Ticketmaster's track record and the high demand, I don't sew how I'll get a ticket at this point. Crushed

- still haven't gotten my f*cking refund from their cancelled tour in 2020

- We would be able to if you weren’t in cahoots with the scalpers. Ticketmaster is the worst service on earth.

- It’s really disgusting how you guys do this “official platinum” presale too. Making it sound like it’s soмєтнing special or VIP when really it’s you price gauging fans of popular artist.  And then you go and act like the only thing that can stop you is the government

On March 1, many ARMYs f0ught for tickets during pre-sales. Instantly, tickets sold out in just about 15 minutes.

Ticketmaster announced that there would be neither a General Verified Fan Presale nor General Onsale for Suga/Agust D tour due to “high demand” during the ARMY MEMBER Presale: "UPDATE for SUGA | Agust D TOUR IN U.S. — Due to extremely high demand during today’s ARMY MEMBER Presale, there will not be a General Verified Fan Presale or General Onsale."

The comment section was not happy in the least bit. Netizens called them out, especially concerning pricing, and some even went so far as to say that scalpers might be cheaper:

- people would’ve been able to get tickets if you didn’t raise the ticket prices to 1k+ for seats in the 100’s but what do i know

- TM is still being investigated by congressional committee in the US. ARMY please email your congressman and senators I promise you the only way this changes is if they are forced to change. Since there is no competitor in the market there is no choice and therefore no consequence

- I think I'm gonna keep receipts for the clαѕѕ action Army will with the Swiftiees

- But didn't you say Platinum seating was to help tickets be available AFTER the presale period? If that's not the case, then just sell the tickets at their original price for ARMYs who are buying in the presale?This is looking very much like having your cake and eating it too

- I bet we can get scalped tix cheaper than your dynamic pricing tho

- Sc@mers is what you are. Wishing hybe makes their own ticketing system just for us so we can securely get tickets without paying premium prices

Some ARMYs pointed out that some sections weren’t appeared listed. Not only that, but prices were being jacked up immediately, although we were still in pre-sales:

It appears that Ticketmaster lied and made some sections unavailable, although all tickets were supposed to be made available, just so that the company could overcharge later:

- so it’s not the fact that they didn’t send out codes. It’s the fact that they had a certain amount of seats taken and set aside already for platinum seating and whatever was left was for the presale. Aka why so few codes were sent out

- When I got in, there wasn’t much available to choose.

- seats being platinum shouldn't change the # of people who have access to the seats, just the price of the seats...right?

- so these platinum seats were the REAL reason why many of us were waitlisted. and tm said 100% of tickets were supposed to be available for the fans, right?!  tm held those seats so they could make profits off of the high price tags. that’s total BS and they know it. 

- Look at this sḧïẗ it literally keeps adding and taking off seats. New York shows are still available but these ∂αми ticket prices for official platinum is just ridiculous. FIX IT @Ticketmaster

- Yeah, TM is evil for this because I got tickets for section 117 yesterday for around $330 now I’m seeing people around my row having to pay double the price 

Some even reported that, as a result, their tickets were being converted to the Platinum pricing in real-time, so by the time they got to the checkout, it had switched over to the higher prices. 

So, ARMYs are calling out Ticketmaster for lying, sc@mming, and price gouging.

- ticketmaster is playing dírtч i had opted out of platinum before entering the room and got my tickets (sec 111 first row) and when i went to check out they made the price platinum

- platinum pricing got me like that without me knowing when i tried buying harry tickets last year and i ended up dropping $2k on nosebleeds 

- I heard that TM was converting seats to platinum at checkout. My moot got 2 tx for $300 each at checkout it was over $1,300 and marked platinum. If you experience this I hope you took a sc and saved it. We can send it to the Senator investigating TM.

- This happened to my friend, I paid 500 for 4 tickets and she paid 1,600 in the same level different section. Totally crazy!! We got them at almost the exact same time…so weird…

- “100% of tickets will be available for ARMY presale” what happened to that, @Ticketmaster? first you hardly gave any armys presale codes. then you withheld A LOT of the tickets, just to drop them as “platinum priced tickets” aka price gouging. please do explain

- TICKETMASTER YOU LITTLE B1TCH ARMY MEMBERSHIP PRESALE WAS FOR ARMYS WHO WANT TO SEE YOONGI FOR FAIR PRICES SINCE WHEN DO YOU HAVE PLATINUM PRICES FOR PRESALES ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN MIND WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LAYING AROUND DURING INFLATION

- Anticipating the amount of lawsuits @Ticketmaster is about to get for adding in “ARMY MEMBER PLATINUM PRESALE” and robbing people charging thousands for seats that are regularly $200

- Please please please make your voices heard. Last time we sent hundreds of emails for PTD LA and Vegas ticketing actually saw some changes because we emailed BH, Live Nation, TM ceo and other teams in addition to congress. Ultimately unless they’re regulated they will continue to do this.

- Not to be Gen X about this, but back in my day, we could afford to go to concerts. Ticketing companies didn't act like this. I went to loads of shows in college, and I didn't have money. But it wasn't expensive! Also artists made $ on their shows. TM has destroyed live music.
