The Daughter Of Putin’s Loyal Praetorian Guard Reveals Is A BTS Fan And Just Opens A Kpop-themed Cafe

BTS's fan community is widespread all over the world and has no limits on age, nationality, gender or status... In particular, there are many famous people who have become fans of BTS, making the group's fan list powerful.

Tabarik Kadyrova, the daughter of a close αѕѕociate of яυѕѕιαn President Putin, is a new name appearing on the list of famous ARMYs. She even opened a Kpop store recently in the capital Grozny and "specificially welcomes" BTS fans.

However, the birth of the Kpop-themed restaurant and Tabarik's love for Kpop has received a lot of criticism from local people. Netizens are also surprised by this because her father is against Kpop culture:

For those who don't know, Tabarik Kadyrova, 19, is the daughter of Russian politicia Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of the яυѕѕιαn republic of Chechnya. Her father is a strong supporter of яυѕѕιαn President Putin and even considers himself his “foot sol∂ιєr.” At his social clαss, it is understandable why Tabarik can own a кσяєαn street food restaurant at a young age.

K-pop-themed cafe Chicko was opened by Tabarik Kadyrova at the end of this year in the Grozny shopping center on Vladimir Putin Avenue. The cafe serves iconic and popular кσяєαn food, plays K-pop music, and shows кσяєαn dramas. It also sells K-pop merchandise, especially BTS-related items, and even gives away albums.

Tabarik Kadyrova reportedly saw a 396% increase in interest in BTS among local fans. She, herself, is also a big fan of the group. That's why she opened Chicko Cafe despite the anti-Kpop culture stance of the Chechen government and her father in the past.

It is known that the notorious human rights abuser Ramzan Kadyrov is extremely anti-gay. He and his government even established a system of violent repression against LGBTQ+ people. Fans of BTS and кσяєαn pop culture in the North Caucasus also often face criticism and harαѕѕment. For example, in 2019, BTS's Love Yourself in Seoul concert film was canceled in Dagestan and Chechnya due to homophobic threats.

"Luckily for Tabarik, these rules do not apply to Kadyrov's children," according to political researchers. Despite this, she still faced backlash from local residents. “Kadyrov’s daughter lives by different rules than most Chechen women,” a local woman angrily told the press. Others pointed out that her behavior goes against her father's homophobic stance, such as attending concerts, selling K-pop merchandise, and openly showing her love for BTS.

Meanwhile, some political scientists analyzed that "traditional values" are simply imposed on the public, while Kadyrov and his family "make money from whatever they can." They concluded: “For the so-called elite, traditional values are meaningless, because they define them however they please. Kadyrov himself doesn’t strictly follow these values, though he publicly pretends to.”

However, for K-pop lovers and especially local ARMYs, they're excited about what Tabarik Kadyrova is doing. They believe that her showing support for the group will open up opportunities for the group's long-restrained fans to feel more comfortable expressing their admiration. This could also change stereotypes about LGBTQ+ people and reduce social pressure on this group.
