Jungkook Just Secures 4 Guinness World Records As A Soloist, Winning Worldwide Praise

Since 2013, Jungkook has gradually established his own standing with global au∂ιєnces—first as BTS’s “Golden Maknae” and later as a solo artist. From BTS’s shadow and his iconic solo tracks like Begin, Euphoria, and My Time, he continuously pushed past the limits of the group’s prior fame and success to reach new heights on his own.

The pinnacle came when Jungkook released his debut single Seven (feat. Latto) and his all-English solo album Golden in 2023. Both received high praise from critics, with Associated Press calling Golden a “pop no-skip bliss,” highlighting Jungkook’s versatility and refined artistry. Apple Music even listed Golden among its “Met Gala-Worthy” albums—making Jungkook the only male Asian artist to be recognized.

Although Seven was released on July 14, 2023, and Golden followed on November 3 the same year, by 2025 the buzz surrounding Jungkook’s achievements has shown no signs of fading. He has just officially inscribed his name into four Guinness World Records, earning admiration from fans worldwide.

According to Sports Seoul, Jungkook’s four records as a K-pop soloist include:

Fastest male K-pop artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify

Most streamed track on Spotify in one week by a male artist (Seven with over 89 million weekly streams)

Fastest song by a male artist to reach 100 million streams on Spotify

Most No. 1 нιтs on the Official IFPI MENA Chart (with 3 songs topping the Middle East & North Africa chart)

All four have been officially recognized by Guinness World Records, proving that Jungkook is not only one of the rare K-pop soloists to achieve such feats but also an artist with undeniable global influence.

Nearly two years since his solo debut—and despite a break due to military service—Jungkook continues to maintain exceptional momentum and keeps making history. As of now, Seven still ranks at No. 127 on Billboard’s “Global 200” and No. 73 on “Global Excl. U.S.,” showing a rise of 24 and 9 spots from the previous week, respectively.

Remarkably, Seven has also set a new benchmark for Asian solo artists, charting for 106 consecutive weeks on the “Global 200” and 107 weeks on the “Global Excl. U.S.” It has also stayed strong for 107 weeks on Spotify’s “Weekly Top Songs Global.”

Beyond chart success, Jungkook also became the only K-pop soloist in history to take home three trophies at the Billboard Music Awards—one of the U.S.’s three major music award shows—across 2023 and 2024, further cementing his musical impact and star power.
