HYBE’s Latest Update On Jin’s Goyang Concert Sparks Backlash Amidst Alleged Lack Of Promotions

Starting with a concert on June 28–29 at the Auxiliary Stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex, Jin will embark on a nine-city tour with 18 performances, including Chiba and Osaka in נαραи, as well as Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark in the United States, London in the United Kingdom, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

This was an event that Jin and ARMYs were looking forward to, but Big Hit Music has recently left a big disappointment. The huge anger from fans stems from the management company's "incompetence" and "unprofessionalism" in promoting Jin's solo activities.

Only five days leave before Jin begins his first solo world tour, but the company seems to have made little move ahead of the event. Only when Big Hit Music saw the growing criticism from fans and was urged to take immediate action did it release some guidelines and promotional content on SNS.

It is worth mentioning that in the promotional content on SNS, Big Hit also clearly showed their lack of responsibility. Typically, the photos of Jin that were recently posted on the official Instagram newsfeed were not cropped properly, leading to distortion.

However, the big problem pushed Big Hit Music into the center of even greater criticism is the discovery by fans about the scale of the venue. Based on Big Hit Music's released guidelines for the performance in Goyang, fans found that the main stadium, which has a capacity of about 50,000 people, was only set up for ID and merchandise checks.

Meanwhile, Jin will perform at the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium with a capacity of less than 3000 seats, which Big Hit had previously explained to Jin that it was lack of a larger venue to rent due to the tight schedule.

The concert taking place at a small-capacity stadium prevented many fans from having the chance to meet their idol. According to reports, on the day the tickets went on sale, more than 84,000 fans were in line of waiting. Ticket prices on the black market even went up to 8 million KRW.

This inconsistency has angered fans, who question Big Hit Music's professionalism in preparing for the project of BTS's eldest member:

- I actually wonder why like if the goyang stadium is still being used the day of the concert why couldn’t it just be held in the bigger venue?

- So they really thought he would not be able to sell it out ???? We were 18k on the Interpark website 10 minutes ago

- I was so confused when i saw today’s maps…like, shouldn’t concert be in the main stadium and other stuff in the aux stadium like it was for hobi final. the aux stadium is really small…

- You must factor in the dismantling + setting up of the stadium & be aware that the company will actually make more money if they get a larger stadium. So doing this at a smaller stadium is actually higher cost, lower margin. Hence the company is on jin side all along. Be logical

- You Solos speak without investigating, that stadium has been reserved by BP for 7 months, and you have 2 concerts a week after Jin

- Let's be real preparing for a concert is not an easy task. It's involved big scale of work and might take a week depending on various factors. Safety should always be the priority. Don't jump into things and just accept Jin earlier statement about the stadium booking clash gurl

- the poor editing though.. c'est dommage. It looks like a child put together that grid

- Big Hit ran out of staff to prepare for Jin's concert? From booking the venue to promoting on SNS, I don't think a big company would be so short of staff

- Do Big Hit Music's staff actually go to work? I don't think top management company staff would be so irresponsible

- Look at what Big Hit Music is doing to their heroes. They probably don't need the money anymore. Jin should consider starting his own Jinнιт soon

- Hybe have to Apologize for the continued neglect and incompetence toward JIN

- Seokjinnies, NEVER EVER DARE to stay SILENT over f*cking @BIGHIT_MUSIC mistreatment towards Jin!! BE AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!!

This is not the first time the company has been accused of not actively promoting Jin's activities. On June 13, during BTS' 12th anniversary event '2025 BTS FESTA' at KINTEX, Goyang, the commemorative video featured the members — but Jin was conspicuously left out.

Fans also claimed that Jin's first solo single, The Astronaut, released in 2022, suffered a huge loss in sales due to a short nine-day pre-order period and delayed shipping, resulting in no sales figures in the (initial) first week.

Similarly, his first solo mini album, HAPPY, released last year, also encountered issues with out-of-stocks at major U.S. retailers like Target and Walmart, making it nearly impossible for fans to purchase the CD. Many orders were automatically canceled or not delivered on time, resulting in a lack of a spot on the Billboard charts.

Furthermore, fans reported that Jin’s latest solo mini album, Echo, released on May 16, also faced delays—shipments in the UK were delayed by 7 days, and many orders at Walmart in the US were automatically canceled, continuing to face similar issues as HAPPY.

Anyone can make mistakes, and every BTS member has experienced this kind of omission from HYBE at least once. The real issue is that this neglect and incompetence regarding Jin have been happening repeatedly for a long time
