BTS Speaks Out To Defend BIGHIT, Clarifying The Main Cause Of Today’s Concert Entry Incident

News that BTS's first-day concert in Busan was delayed by more than an hour from its original schedule has been dominating the media and social media over the past few hours. Because this was a special performance celebrating the group's 13th anniversary and was held in South кσяєα, the disappointment was even greater. Even the BTS members themselves could not hide their frustration while waiting, repeatedly writing during their Weverse Live broadcast: "I really want to get up on the stage soon" and "Tomorrow, let's not have this [delay] happen again."

Following the event, after reviewing what had happened, BigHit Music released an official statement explaining that the performance started late due to "a combination of factors including confusion in on-site guidance, bottlenecks in the waiting lines during fan gift distribution, and delays in merchandise pickup, the main performance started late."

The company also apologized, stating: "We extend our deepest and most sincere apologies once again to all the au∂ιєnce members who waited for a long time to watch the performance, for causing such great disappointment and inconvenience". They further promised to "thoroughly review and improve all aspects of on-site operations" to prevent similar issues from occurring during the following day's concert.

During a post-concert live broadcast by the "Busan duo," Jimin and Jungkook, the two members once again addressed the incident and shared remarks that quickly caught fans' attention.

Jungkook began by saying, "Thank you for coming today. The circumstances at the venue weren't very good and we're sorry about that. We're sorry." Jimin then added, "I actually didn't hear what went wrong. I heard they're analyzing it and I think they did do that. And we asked them to prevent this from happening tomorrow. So I hope tomorrow will go well. I'm sad about today." Jungkook did not stop there. He even bowed his head and said, "We apologize on behalf of BigHit", meanwhile Jimin clarified, "I feel sorry too. And actually rather than saying that it was the company's fault, I think the setback occurred during organization."

Jimin and Jungkook's comments regarding their management company quickly received widespread support from fans. One fan analyzed the situation, writing: "So you know who to direct the blame for tonight's fiasco. Asiad Stadium is owned by Busan City and the management company is run by Busan City. BigHit pays a rental fee but Busan City management has to provide the venue staff. They obviously understaffed to make more profit." Another fan also pointed out: "The venue and third parties had months of prior notice to prepare for the event, and they are the ones who failed. Busan's management had issues in previous years too."

Notably, before the event took place, the Busan city government had announced that approximately 3,000 personnel, including event organizers, government officials, ρσℓι¢є officers, and firefιgнтers, had been deployed to support BTS's event this week. However, reports from fans who were actually at the venue painted a completely different picture. Many attendees stated: "The stadium entrance was so chaotic that it nearly caused a serious safety α¢¢ι∂єит," "There weren't enough staff outside directing people, so I didn't even know where to go," and "The stadium staff were completely inexperienced. They didn't even know how to get fans into the soundcheck area and only set up booths and queue barriers after fans themselves asked about it."

Not only did the delay force tens of thousands of fans to wait for more than an hour, but it also nearly put BTS and BigHit Music in a position where they would have had to incur additional costs if the concert had not ended before 10:30 p.m. Fortunately, thanks to the group's professionalism and their ability to move through the schedule efficiently, BTS completed the entire concert timeline just within the limit and delivered a complete and memorable night for ARMY.

As videos of Jimin and Jungkook's comments spread across social media, fans became even more outraged by what they described as the local authorities' irresponsibility and poor event management, commenting:

- The organizers/ busan was clearly at fault, there should’ve been better planning

- They apologized multiple times and this is not even their fault, management is being a mess and it's been an hour...Hope they are not harsh on themselves and that Busan gets his sht together

- I could αѕѕume the venue organization just sucks and that they decided to act like they just found out it was a bts concert that was gonna have a mαѕѕive crowd tbh but the previous things do make it hard to think this is just a random sкιℓℓ issue lmao

- It's not the Tannies fault and it's not the company's fault, they have organized multiple events in the past without any trouble, it's obviously Busan organization problems

- Busan organization left much to be desired. First, there was the controversy where they tried to blame BTS, and then they took credit for projects that weren't even theirs. They had months to prepare and today organization for the concert was terrible. I hope they improve for tomorrow.

- MOST AWFUL concert entrance experience ever everyone’s pushing, breaking barricades, pαѕѕing through anywhere, many people went inside venue without having tickets checked. Next time, other places except Busan please

- I told the staff because my head hurts and I have dehydration symptoms, and they say this is the infirmary? Is this for real????? There's not even a first aid kit in the infirmary lol No nurses or doctors, and they say the medical staff can't be reached.

- This is beyond ridiculous. What are those organizers doing

- Mind all fault is on the city idc nothing like this has happened anywhere else but has happened multiple times in Busan so
