BTS Members Participate In Early Voting For South Korea's Presidential Election

The 21st early presidential election in South кσяєα officially kicked off at 6am on May 29 with more than 3,000 polling stations nationwide, with unprecedented security measures.

Participating in the biggest political event in South кσяєα at the moment are many celebrities from singers, actors, comedians, MCs,... Members of the "21st century pop icon" group BTS are no exception, typically j-hope - who proudly showed off his civic actions recently on Instagram!

j-hope shared a photo revealing that he visited the polling station in Oksu-dong for the early voting period. One notable point is that j-hope wore a simple outfit, completely black from his beanie, mask to the T-shirt.

j-hope's behavior was praised for its sophistication in a sensitive time of politics. The entertainment industry is extremely cautious about poses or outfits that could be interpreted as supporting political parties to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings or controversies.

Similar to j-hope, actors Kim Go Eun, Han Yeri, singer Lee Chae Yeon, and announcers Jo Se Ho and Jang Young Ran, etc. were also seen wearing neutral colors like black when certifying early election.

According to кσяєαn media, some other BTS members also actively participated in this early voting as other Hallyu celebrities.

Previously, Karina, a member of the group Espa, caused controversy when she posted a photo of herself wearing an outfit with the number 2 in red. Although she explained that she had "no political intentions," she ended up in an scandal situation when politicians and supporters of a certain candidate called her a "right-wing idol".

It is known that colors reflecting political trends have become prominent in presidential elections in кσяєα in recent years. Blue has traditionally been the color of the liberal party since 2015, while red represents rivals in the conservative People Power Party.

On the other hand, major opinion polls have shown that liberal candidate Lee Jae Myung (blue) is the clear frontrunner in the presidential race, with 49%.

He is followed by conservative former Labor Minister Kim Moon Soo (red) of the ruling People Power Party - the former party of former President Yoon - with 35%.

Meanwhile, early voting for the 21st presidential election will end at 6 p.m. on May 30, and the actual vote will be held on June 3.

In other news about j-hope, he will release the digital single "Killin' It Girl (featuring GloRilla)" on June 13 at 1 p.m. KST. He will also hold 'j-hope Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' FINAL' at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, on July 13–14, where he will perform the new song live for the first time.
