Bang Shi Hyuk PD Ever Protected IU Against Suspicion Of Plagiarism

Recently, IU is facing an unnecessary controversy in her career when an anonymous individual filed a lawsuit against the female singer for plagiarism. The case is currently attracting great attention from fans because up to 6 IU's songs are accused of plagiarism.

Meanwhile, IU and the management company are currently investigating the lawsuit and carrying out ℓєgαℓ procedures for baseless posts about this incident. To the public's concern, some fans realized that Bang PD had defended IU and a song that was allegedly plagiarized in the past when the song was embroiled in a similar controversy.

IU fans seem to be grateful for Bang Shi Hyuk's support for the female artist while others hope IU will soon resolve this case and end the controversy.

According to an exclusive media report on May 10 KST, an anonymous individual A has filed a lawsuit against singer IU for plagiarism. Earlier this week on May 8, Seoul's Gangnam Police Department received a complaint against IU, who is facing charges of plagiarizing 6 songs - Good Day, The Red Shoes, Pitiful, Boo, BBIBBI and Celebrity.

The indictment report said: "All 6 of these songs closely resemble the original songs in melody, rhythm, and code progression, and in the case of songs like 'The Red Shoes', the resemblance is clearly noticeable even in the ears of the general public. Especially, all 6 songs are suspected of plagiarizing the intro."

But this is not the first time IU has been accused of plagiarism with this song. In 2013, when IU first released "The Red Shoes", she received similar criticism, with some calling it similar to the song "Here's Us" by G͜͡E͜͡R͜͡M͜͡A͜͡N͜͡band Nekta. At that time, Bang PD was one of the producers who spoke out in defense of IU.

Writing on his personal page, Hitman Bang shared, “To those who say IU’s ‘The Red Shoes’ is plagiarism, there are genres and clichés in music. If ‘The Red Shoes’ is plagiarism, almost all swing jazz songs should be considered plagiarized.”

Meanwhile, another expert also defended IU, “Rhythm structures are generally similar. Like the rhythm arrangements of fast electronic dance songs. It is unreasonable to see it as plagiarism."

Although at that time, all controversies were quickly päṩṩed after many people in the industry spoke out in defense of IU. But it seems that at the present time, it is back again. The accuser A further claimed that "The accused (IU) refused to respond to her plagiarism accusations despite their numerous occurrences, instead reporting and erasing all such accusations on SNS for copyright violations. Therefore, the accuser has decided to file a report after witnessing a lack of public awareness regarding the numerous accounts of plagiarism which have been taken down irrationally on SNS for copyright reasons, and additionally as an issue of a failure of ℓєgαℓ authorities to fulfill their duties responsibly in determining the amount of damages that those faced with copyright violation accusations must pay."

In response to this incident, this morning, IU and her management company quickly concluded that they will work with ℓєgαℓ representatives on the lawsuit. The company stated: "We have been aware for some time now that false claims of plagiarism and baseless rumors have been spread via various online communities, SNS communities, YouTube, as well as in print form in certain areas. We've recently confirmed that for the past several months, serious accounts of malicious activity were detected on multiple online communities and Naver cafe pages. After confirming the above, the agency proceeded to collect all forms of evidence related to accusations of plagiarism, false rumors, sєхual haräṩṩment and defamation of character, invasion of privacy, etc; based on the collected evidence, we have submitted lawsuits against responsible parties through the agency's law firm. Then, today, while still waiting on the proceedings of the lawsuits, we found out through the news reports that charges have been filed against IU with the p̾o̾l̾i̾c̾e."

The agency continued, "As of now, we have not received any form of official notice from investigators, and we are learning of the charges for the first time through the news reports from today. We have no information regarding the charges filed, and we are in the midst of confirming the details related to the charges."

Although the matter is still complicated, many people believe that IU was once protected by Bang Shi Hyuk PD-nim shows that she is not wrong in this allegation. Is it possible that the person who is attacking IU is trying to destroy her reputation:

- Dear Hitman Bang, thank you for defending and supporting IU for a long. Dear Hitman bang, can you make a collaboration between BTS and IU?

- Thank you for your kindness
