Since BTS officially returned after a two-year hiatus due to their military service, public and fan expectations for the group’s comeback have been sky-high. However, along with those expectations comes considerable pressure weighing on the shoulders of the seven superstars who have just reunited.

That is why they have had little time to rest, immediately jumping back into music production. After being discharged in mid-June, by early July the BTS members were already rushing off to Los Angeles, spending two months at their creative camp in the U.S. to prepare for their comeback album, set to be released next spring.

While the public is excited by these signs of BTS’s return, this stage has not been easy for the members at all. In a recent live broadcast, leader RM candidly shared for the first time about the pressure the group is experiencing, while expressing his hope for understanding and support from ARMYs.

He mentioned their current situation: "I'm not sure how this album is going to turn out but we're still preparing for it, I'm going to the work every day, we're just following up the work from LA like writing lyrics and deciding lines, etc."

And then, he practically let all the pressure spill out: "Ahhhh it's so burdensome!! I mean imagine you're BTS! You're BTS but you just discharged from the military, it took 3 years, you're suddenly back and everyone's like wow they're gonna come up with soмєтнing insane, aren't they? It's pressuring to us too! and we got together and lived together for 2 yea - I mean, 2 months but we're all the same, we're the same as we were!"

RM also explained that BTS’s group concerts are currently being prioritized, but for members who have not yet held solo world tours — including himself — those will definitely happen in the future, not be abandoned.

"Solo tour or concert, I gotta do it someday but I wanted to prepare well for it and I've been thinking how I would be but first, since the group is more important than solo, I've been focusing on the group," he clarified.

He went on to share what BTS has been preparing for next year: "We will have the concerts. we're already having concert related meetings. Cause, next year's project will be our everything so we must prepare for it already. So we've been having meetings, preparing for the album, discussions on the styling, then our music."

Finally, he concluded: "Anyways, it's getting harder by the day you know, trying to do soмєтнing. No matter how heavy the weight gets, we'll keep doing our thing without getting crushed under it. We'll contain all those concerns and thoughts into the album."

RM spoke with sincerity and pαѕѕion, saying that their upcoming album will hold their own story — whether people like it or not, it will still be by BTS, about BTS, and for BTS. This sentiment touched many fans’ hearts. They also reαѕѕured BTS and RM that whatever the group does is always special and meaningful to the fandom, because it has always been about the story, not about following trends.
