The 65th Annual Grammy Awards held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA took place this morning (KST). This award ceremony is one of the most anticipated events by ARMYs earlier this year as BTS has had important nominations in this awards ceremony.

However, another year BTS is empty-handed for the only award the group lacks in their huge collection of awards. Many controversies broke out right after the awards were announced, but there were also many funny stories that were spread later.

In particular, Jungkook was congratulated by ARMYs because he won a GRAMMYs award for the first time thanks to this performance. And we fully acknowledge that:

As all the fans around the world expected. The 65th Grammy Awards ceremony was held this morning (KST). The Grammys are arguably one of the most prestigious and prestigious awards ceremonies on the planet for artists worldwide for their career achievements.

This year, BTS was nominated in the category of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "My Universe", which was released in partnership with Coldplay. In addition to this category, BTS is also highly anticipated when being nominated in the category of Best Music Video for "Yet To Come" and Coldplay's Music of the Spheres was named in the Album of the Year nomination - one of The 4 biggest awards of the Grammys. This award is given to performers and producers who have made significant contributions to an album. Meaning, BTS as featuring artist, 3 members RM, SUGA, and j-hope as songwriters (composer), all received nominations in this category.

Previously, BTS was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2021 and 2022 with "Dynamite" and "Butter", but unfortunately did not win the award. Therefore, fans have been extremely hopeful that this year's Coldplay and BTS' meaningful collaboration will be named with the position of the winner.

However, in the end, the trophy in that category went to "Unholy" by Sam Smith and Kim Petras and left a big regret for Coldplay fans as well as BTS. There was mixed reaction after this award was announced and some even suggested that the Grammys were involved in rαcιsm by unfairly removing Coldplay and BTS for the top spot.

But behind the controversies, there are ARMYs who are happy and enjoying what BTS has achieved with the success of these songs on the charts instead of going into wars. They even humorously said that the song “Unholy” covered by Jungkook on a livestream a few days ago won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in this year Grammys. 

Even other ARMYs kept pouring in similar posts to congratulate Jungkook. They claim that even if BTS and Coldplay failed to do this, Jungkook replaced them to win the Grammys for the first time with an impressive cover. This award is officially recognized by ARMYs around the world:
