BTS as a group, and Jungkook in particular, returned to South кσяєα at the end of this month after spending a month in Los Angeles working on their new album. Upon returning home, Jungkook took some time to host a fun live broadcast from his house, interacting with fans.
While the entire fandom was happy and excited to chat with Jungkook after such a long time — and even got a glimpse of a few corners of his new house, which he moved into at the end of last year — an illegal break-in by a fan occurred shortly afterward.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul arrested a woman in her 40s, identified as "A," on charges of home invasion. Ms. A is accused of breaking into the parking lot of Jungkook's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, around 11:20 p.m. last night (the 30th).
She reportedly followed a vehicle into the parking lot, and a security guard who was checking CCTV footage discovered her and reported her to the ρσℓι¢є. At the time of her arrest, she reportedly told ρσℓι¢є nonsense, saying, "I went in because it was my friend's house."
Right after the news was shared by кσяєαn media, global fans expressed outrage toward certain individuals who deliberately violated the idol’s privacy and personal living space. They also stated that this was more the behavior of sasaeng fans than real fans, as true fans would never do such a thing.
This is not the first time Jungkook has faced such an incident. On the day of his military discharge a few months ago, he was unable to return home for several hours because a Chinese woman in her 30s, identified as "B," also attempted to break into Jungkook's home on the day of his discharge from the military in June.
She was sent to the prosecution without detention on the 27th. The ρσℓι¢є are currently investigating Ms. A to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
