Do you believe in the supernatural, ghosts, and a world that exists parallel to our own? Many people may think it’s nonsense, but in fact, countless accounts throughout history have spoken of the existence of ghosts.
Even in the кσяєαn entertainment industry, many famous idols have shared their own experiences witnessing mysterious, unexplainable phenomena.
GFRIEND’s SinB once revealed that she had encountered a ghost in the practice room. What’s even creepier was that the ghost looked exactly like her. She said, "When others were practicing, they'd say they saw me when I wasn't there."
Big Bang’s Taeyang was also skeptical about such things — until he and his members experienced paranormal incidents at YG’s old building, such as hearing knocks on the door while showering or strange sounds coming from the speakers even when the computer was turned off.
And now, Jungkook has joined the list of idols who’ve seen ghosts — in a way no one could have expected!
This exciting encounter was shared by Jungkook in BTS’s Proof Collector’s Edition. Specifically, his terrifying run-in with a ghost happened while he was showering in the group’s very first dorm.
Because the bathroom conditions weren’t good — the light was dim, and there were streaks of вℓσσ∂ on the wall from ∂єα∂ mosquitoes — the atmosphere felt even gloomier. While Jungkook was bending down to wash his hair, he suddenly saw “the ghost’s ankle.”
"I was alone and in the shower when I saw a really pale ankle between my legs. The ankle disappeared by walking toward a room. I saw it go into the house from the front door by the shoe rack. But I didn’t hear anyone after that", he said.
At first, Jungkook thought it might have been SUGA, since his skin is very pale, so he managed to stay calm. But when he came out of the bathroom and realized he was completely alone in the dorm, he began to question what he had just seen.
He recalled, "I actually thought it was SUGA hyung because of the pale skin tone. When I got done washing my hair, I went to say hi to him, but no one was in the room. There was no one else in the dorm except me."
Jungkook’s ghostly story quickly spread on Twitter, leaving fans both laughing and тєяяιfιє∂. Laughing — because SUGA was mistaken for a ghost thanks to his fair complexion, even though he wasn’t there at all. And тєяяιfιє∂ — because Jungkook actually saw soмєтнing supernatural while being completely alone.
Fortunately, it turned out to be a misunderstanding, so he wasn’t mentally affected. If it were me, I’d probably have fainted on the spot.
This wasn’t the only time Jungkook claimed to have seen soмєтнing not of this world — he’s repeatedly insisted, “I’ve seen ghosts in the dorm before!”
But instead of being scared, he was actually curious and wanted to communicate with them: “I want to ask how old they are, what happened to them, and communicate with them! And become friends with them, I was curious. I still am!"
Jungkook even revealed that he once prepared thoroughly in case he could really interact with ghosts — and even held a “ghost hunt” in his apartment: "Before moving in here, I wanted to meet a ghost so bad so around 2 AM, I turned off the lights off and I used that thing that the ghost hunters use. I sat here in the living room and waited..." But in the end, "...And there was no sound haha". He treated it as nothing more than a spontaneous, playful joke.
After Jungkook’s supernatural stories spread online, a ghost-hunting team called Watcher Entertainment immediately took notice and offered to αѕѕist the BTS star if he ever wanted to collaborate.
Who would’ve imagined that an idol would actually want to befriend spirits, even though he’s not a shaman — and would seriously study how to communicate with “beings from another world”? Still, ARMYs said they’d totally support it if Jungkook ever started a YouTube channel to document his own ghost-hunting adventures!
