For ARMYs, the fact that BTS members do a live broadcast is a happy thing. But for some toxic individuals, it is an opportunity for them to examine and find the "error" of the members' behavior.
Recently, V became the subject of a controversy after he was accused of singing N-words in a song. Since then, a lot of criticism started towards him while some fans tried to prove that V didn't do it.
Here is the chaotic situation when people mention V's recent live broadcast:
ARMYs are no stranger to having random V live broadcasts on Weverse. Recently, he met fans again before releasing his full solo album to chat. The live broadcast didn't last long but it was enough for V to interact with fans after a long time.
V shared some of the activities he completed today. He then started enjoying a variety of songs while chatting with fans, including Young Jeezy's "Beat The P***y Up", YG, TI, and ASAP Rocky's "RIOT".
It seemed likely to end with adorable moments between V and fans until a controversy started to erupt regarding his actions during that broadcast. Specifically, some people pointed out that while V was listening to the two songs above, he looked as if he had lip-synced some of the N-words in the song. Before that, there were also many controversial words surrounding these songs.
The line where Taehyung is accused of lip-syncing sensitive words is in the song RIOT: "We grow, we learn. Py n***a tired. How ’bout you try it?"
Since then, the focus of the debate has revolved around whether V said the N-word in the lyrics. Despite the obvious fact that V not only sang the sensitive part but he seems to have lip-synced most of the song's lyrics as if to show a fondness for the melody, the debate still rages on when some people consider it inappropriate for an idol with a large and multicultural fanbase like ARMY.
Meanwhile, in the face of negative accusations that V lip-synced the N-words, some ARMYs slowed down the video to prove that he wasn't singing. Others — convinced the BTS star did not mouth the word — claim V skipped the word while singing and was just nodding his head.
They also left comments about this situation:
- Before y’all accuse – please actually watch and slow down the video. Taehyung did not say it, he skipped the n word and just kept his mouth open at the time which I think is causing the confusion. I repeat he did NOT say it.
- no he didn’t ! he’s just let his mouth open but he’s not lipsynched or moving his lips
- why ppl saying that taehyung lip synced the n word when he literally just nodded with his mouth open then said "tight"
- get your eyes checked babe
- literally…..,.,.,,leave him alone I am BEGGING!!!!!! why do y’all hate him so much!!!!! i am so tired!!!!!
- i was confuse in the first but you can see it in the video when he said pu*sy and tight he move his lips but with the nword he didn’t move his lips, he was just moving his head and he had the mouth open
It totally shows that V has shied away from sensitive words but some toxic individuals are "sensitive" emphasizing cultural issues. Obviously, V and BTS have always influenced and inspired people around the globe, so he has enough respect for cultural issues and behaves in moderation!
