V Shares Where He Is Getting His Inspiration For His Upcoming Solo Album

ARMYs seem to have been very excited since the members said they would be releasing their solo albums one by one. Since this is the first time the members debuted as solo artists, everyone is looking forward to how they will show their individual musical colors.

Naturally, there are very few revelations shared by the members. But sometimes in interviews or conversations, we can get a glimpse of what they're preparing. In particular, V recently revealed more about the inspiration for his solo album production.

Recently, the members have all shown signs that they are about to release a solo album and ARMY is in a waiting position. One of the members that ARMY thinks will release a solo album soon is V. That's why there are many times ARMYs tried to ask V what his album would be like.

However, the answer ARMYs get is usually beatting around the bush. A good example is when an ARMY commented on Weverse that: “What kind of vibes will the mixtape be? Ballads? Jazz?”

V replied: “Call me the ‘Gifted Golf Student Kim Taehyung’ from now on. I mean it.”

However, when you think back that V has shared the inspiration for V to compose new music in the past, you can probably guess the musical style he's aiming for. In the past, V has named many places where he gets his musical inspiration.

V talked about his love of movies that inspire him, including Call Me By Your Name, which inspires him on both an artistic level and a musical level.

Even the content of the movie, such as Forrest Gump, can evoke emotions inside V that make him think and can lead to writing inspiration: "Yesterday, I watched Forrest Gump for the first time in a while, and it made me cry a little. At the end of the film, Forrest says, ‘I don’t know if we each have a destiny, or if we’re all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze,’ and I really felt for him. It was sad."

Similar to his love of movies, V also considers many artists as his inspiration. In an interview on Tokopedia, he discussed famous artists like Kurt Cobain, John Legend, and Justin Bieber. As many fans know, he also loves jazz and listens to everything from Bing Crosby to Lady Gaga.

The last place he gets inspiration is within himself. Whenever something happened to him throughout the day, he would record it for future reference in his diary. He shared: "I write in my diary in hopes that it’ll help with writing lyrics and so I don’t forget those feelings."

Like a true artist, V is mentally prepared when inspiration hits him in the form of emotions, he can turn it into a work of art. It seems that his album will bring a deep touch to the soul and emotions.

Looking forward to his upcoming album!
