If you’ve been following the adorable friendship between Big Hit’s two groups, TXT and BTS, then you probably know that Soobin is a huge fan of Jin. He has shown his special admiration for his BTS senior many times, whether in front of fans or during interviews with the media.

He himself once confirmed: “Ever since we first debuted, when I get asked who my bias is of the BTS sunbaenims, I’ve always answered that it’s Jin sunbaenim, right?”

Every time Jin’s name comes up, Soobin can’t stop praising him—from his visuals and personality to his music. On several livestreams with fans, he even played Jin’s solo songs like “Awake” and “Epiphany,” showering them with compliments.

Moreover, Soobin deeply respects Jin not only for his looks but also for his calm, kind, and caring nature. This impression doesn’t just come from watching Jin from afar, but also from his own personal experiences interacting with him—even before TXT debuted.

Soobin revealed that back then, when the company was still small and TXT were still trainees, they had to give up their practice room whenever BTS came. In such situations, Jin would always feel sorry for taking their space, even though he had every right to use it.

"After pαѕѕing my audition and joining the company—back then, you know the practice rooms were in the basement, right? When we were practicing there, if the seniors came, we had to give up the vocal rooms and training space to them. And every time Jin sunbaenim came, he was so kind. He would greet us with a cheerful ‘Hello, everyone!’ and he felt sorry that we had to give up our practice space for them,” Soobin recalled.

Of course, these moments only made Soobin admire him even more, fueling the pαѕѕion of a true fanboy! And even later, after TXT debuted, Jin continued to show care for his juniors despite his own busy schedule, which touched Soobin even more.

Soobin went on to share: “When the debut lineup got fixed, he asked when we had time and said that he wanted to eat with us someday. But we all got busy, but he got us pizza and said, ‘I really wanted to eat and talk to you guys, but it’s a shame that we can’t, so at least eat this amongst yourselves.’ He had the pizza delivered to us and left. Back then, I was still just a trainee, but he gave me so many touching words and actions. He became a senior I am extremely grateful to, respect deeply, and truly adore.”

It wasn’t grand gestures, but those simple, genuine acts of care that broke down the barrier between senior and junior, making TXT feel acknowledged and encouraged. With Jin being this warm and considerate, how could anyone not love him? Especially Soobin, who had been a longtime fan of his.

On the other hand, Soobin is surely living the ultimate “fanboy dream” that every fan envies. Not only did he debut under the same company as his idol, but he also earned the greatest privilege of all—becoming Jin’s beloved younger brother.
