In contrast to the reality that fans of different idol groups often compete with one another, speak ill of each other, or stir up controversies on social media, idols themselves tend to show genuine respect and affection toward one another in real life. Over the years, fans have repeatedly been surprised to discover that idols from different groups share beautiful friendships. These bonds have gradually helped bridge fandoms together, to the point where fans now even hope that their favorite idols will become close friends.

As two of the leading idol groups in K-pop, TWICE and BTS naturally spark excitement among ONCEs and ARMYs whenever the names of the two groups are mentioned together or when there is any connection between their members. Fans still vividly remember how thrilled they were to witness the interaction between j-hope and Sana when the BTS rapper appeared on Sana’s Fridge Interview to promote his new song.

Aside from the warm friendship between j-hope and Sana, members of TWICE and BTS have, in reality, rarely had opportunities to interact closely. However, fans also clearly remember an anecdote in which Nayeon once expressed her desire to become friends with a member of BTS. Even more notably, actor Park Hyung Sik enthusiastically stepped in to help make the singer’s wish come true.

Specifically, Hyung Sik appeared on a special series by KODE, a program that Nayeon is currently hosting. In this show, the TWICE member had to guess the identities of other celebrities participating in KODE solely through text messages. In order to gather more clues, Nayeon asked Park Hyung Sik, who was sitting behind a wall, whether he was close to any actors. The two then exchanged lists of their friends.

On Park Hyung Sik’s list, he named three celebrities he is closest to: Park Shin Hye, Han Hyo Joo, and V. What came as a surprising and delightful moment was that when the actor mentioned V, Nayeon exclaimed, “Wow, I want to be friends, too.” Although Nayeon was referring to all three names, fans were most focused on the BTS x TWICE pairing and the fact that both idols were born in 1995.

The story did not end there. After the show concluded and Nayeon correctly guessed that the celebrity behind the wall was Park Hyung Sik, she expressed her hope that he would introduce his friends to her series. Park Hyung Sik immediately invited V as a way to introduce him to Nayeon and help fulfill her wish of becoming friends, as previously mentioned. In an Instagram post following the program, the actor tagged V’s account and wrote: "If you say you're my friend, they'll take better care of you @ Taehyung. I'm definitely not recommending it just bc I ℓσѕт~ but I think you can win (avenge me)"

Since then, fans have gone wild over the way Park Hyung Sik helped bridge a potential friendship between V and Nayeon. Many are eagerly anticipating future interactions or collaborations between the two, to the point that the topic has recently gone viral on social media. One post alone garnered over half a million views and interactions as fans manifested a collaboration between them.

Under the post, numerous comments from both BTS and TWICE fans expressed how they almost believed it was real or jokingly blamed the original poster for making them feel delusional. Most commenters shared that they genuinely hope the two will one day release a joint project together and are convinced that it would be explosive:
