On September 17, through Bł₲ Ⱨł₮ Music, SUGA sent a notice to fans that he will be enlisting in the army on September 22. With this decision, SUGA is the third member of BTS to enlist, after Jin and j-hope. Jin started enlisting in December 2022 and j-hope started in April this year.
Before enlisting, SUGA sent a short but loving letter to his fans. In this letter, the male idol promises to meet the audíєnce again in 2025, after he finishes his m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service.
“Hello. This is SUGA", he began his letter. Then, he added: "I came to give (you all) my greetings! I've been able to come here (so far) because of ARMY, you all. And now the time has come. I'll come after finishing my service well sincerely. Beware of the chilly weather from the season changing to autumn. Let's keep being healthy and let us all meet in 2025! ARMY!!!!
