We all know how hard and hard the BTS members have had to go through to get the great success they are today. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg while the members suffer even more than we can imagine.
In particular, in the latest episode of the show Just An Excuse recently aired, SUGA and Jimin had the opportunity to talk about their hard training days to become a global idol. SUGA even revealed that he couldn't sleep more than 3 hours a day for 6 years straight because of the time he spent practicing.
SUGA's sharing took many by surprise and ARMYs seemed to be heartbroken by what he had to endure when we just thought it was his habit:
On the afternoon of the 11th, the latest episode of Just An Excuse of the YouTube channel 'Tteuntteun' featuring Jimin and SUGA was broadcast. The show is hosted by national MC Yoo Jae Suk and other guests such as Ji Seok-jin and Jo Se-ho.
They sat down and talked freely about many things around the idol's life as well as what the members of BTS went through to get to where they are today. In it, there are many stories that have never been revealed before and it caught the attention of ARMYs.
One of them includes the life story of SUGA and Jimin as trainees and during their debut as idols. Both SUGA and Jimin revealed that they had to practice seriously before gaining the confidence to dance like they are now.
Specifically in a part of the program when SUGA and Jimin talked about practicing dance with Yoo Jae-seok, Ji Seok-jin and Jo Se-ho, male MC Yoo Jae-seok imitated the kick in Dynamite's choreography. BTS. When doing this move, the male MC said that it is not easy to do BTS's choreography, especially the songs when they first debuted.
In response, SUGA first told a story about his and the group's dance practice past. SUGA revealed that Bang PD had strict rules since BTS was a trainee and debuted. He divided the choreography into small pieces for them to practice fluently and then put them together into a complete song. But that makes BTS' performances always good.
Besides, Jimin also added that the members and him have to learn how to make eye contact and adjust their gaze position when performing the choreography. Following that, SUGA also answered people's questions about how to make BTS perform well on stage or how they prepared.
SUGA was very proud when talking about it and said: "Actually we are very proud of it. We simulated everything". He said that he practiced moving (choreography) in a situation where the hat was dropped. In addition, he also revealed that they also practice to be able to deal with any u̾n̾e̾x̾p̾e̾c̾t̾e̾d ̾ situations without stopping and walk spontaneously even if the shoelace was untying.
When asked, “How many times a day do you practice dancing?”, SUGA shared how much time he had to spend before debuting because he had no background in choreography before. He replied, “In my case, I came to Seoul without taking dance lessons before. I was asked by them to train hard six months before my debut.”
He continued: “After that, I just danced all the time except sleeping and eating. I'm used to it now, everyone has their own style, but when we get together, it takes less than three hours. And we do that for 2 weeks straight".
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-seok seemed surprised by this: "The fact that we keep talking like this, because we talk about this too much, so I don’t know what the two of them are like, but actually, it’s a really amazing thing", he praised BTS. Next, Ji Suk-jin was even more excited when he declared, "It's BTS, I always say that the country should commend it seriously" and SUGA did Ji Suk-jin was humorously confused as he replied, "We have received a medal." Meanwhile, in the next part of the story, SUGA revealed som̾e̾t̾h ̾ing more h̾e̾a̾r̾t̾b̾r̾e̾a̾k̾i̾n̾g that even when he ended his trainee period and debuted, he still didn't have much time to rest. SUGA couldn't even sleep more than 3 hours a day for the next 6 years.
He confided, "Due to having an idol schedule since I was young, I got into the habit of sleeping short hours because we were so busy. That's why I wake up when I sleep for 2 hours. For 5 or 6 years, I haven't really slept for more than 3 hours. This became a routine so I'm not even tired.”
Meanwhile, Jimin also revealed that he usually sleeps at 3-4 am and sleeps very well afterwards or during times sitting in the waiting room due to lack of sleep. It can be seen that the life of an idol and especially of BTS has not been easy since they were trainees and even after they became globally famous.
Before SUGA's revelation, many ARMYs felt extremely ȟɥȑț because of the time they have endured:
