On March 24, Jimin officially released his first solo album, FACE. The album was welcomed by all fans around the world and it even achieved huge success within a few hours of its release.

As part of promotions for the new album as a solo artist, Jimin attends a number of shows including weekly music shows to promote some of the songs on the album. Today Jimin started his first recording for Music Bank with about 400 lucky ARMYs present in person.

But that's not all, not only got to see Jimin perform on stage, but ARMYs even met SUGA at his pre-recording. Behind SUGA's appearance is a promise that the two made to each other 3 years ago:

For ARMYs in particular and K-pop fans in general, pre-recording sessions for weekly music shows are not too strange. It's a way for artists to promote their music products as well as participate in the race in the weekly music charts.

This time, when debuting as a solo artist, Jimin also chose this traditional m̾e̾t̾h ̾od of promotion. Right after FACE was released this afternoon, Jimin went to Music Bank's studio in the afternoon of the same day to do his pre-recording.

About 400 lucky ARMYs were able to attend this recording and see Jimin's performance live. Not only that, they also received meaningful gift sets from him.

But Jimin's pre-recording this time includes not only ARMYs but also another special guest. It's SUGA. Some ARMYs who weren't inside the studio were suddenly spotted SUGA outside the KBS station around the time that Jimin was doing his pre-recording.

SUGA was spotted when wearing a bucket hat. Fans were excited to see SUGA coming to the set to support the BTS member. That shows their sweet and lovely friendship.

But there are some ARMYs who suddenly remembered that SUGA's appearance here seems to be related to a past promise between him and Jimin. And that makes the story even more emotional quickly.

It all started in 2020 when SUGA had a weekly audio-only live broadcast series on VLIVE. It was like a live session of a radio show and was named FM 06.13.

Every week, a different BTS member will appear there as a guest. Then Jimin appeared on the show, and SUGA sulked about him not visiting during one of his solo photo shoots back then.

But he also emphasized that in later times when Jimin visited him, he had a lot of energy for those photo shoots. Specifically SUGA said: "Why didn't you visit the shooting site of my music video? I really looked forward to your visit. Your visit during photoshoot of comeback trailer gave me a lot of energy".

But then Jimin turned the tables and he asked SUGA that whatever it was, SUGA would have to come later when he had a private recording. SUGA finally agreed because Jimin had been with him the previous times so he thought it made sense for him to come to Jimin.

Jimin started: "You have to come when I have a personal schedule. You have to". Then SUGA replied: "Do you mean it? I should go because you came once".

And SUGA really kept that promise after almost three years. He stood with the staff to watch Jimin like a veteran fan. Not only that, according to ARMYs who attended the pre-recording, SUGA also went on stage after Jimin finished recording for "Set Me Free pt 2,". SUGA joked around with the ARMYs who were there for a bit and sent a message about hoping that everyone would give Jimin a lot of support.
