Samsung Shades Apple For Allegedly Copying Its BTS-Inspired Purple

The trade war has never stopped attracting big players, especially like Samsung and Apple. Recently, in the event of the new product launch of Apple, Samsung has made many moves to compete with its rivals.

What's more remarkable is that Samsung even shades Apple for allegedly copying its BTS-Inspired purple. Here's the story going on in the market:

September 7 is Apple's "Far Out" Event Day - where they officially launch the new iPhone 14 and more. The event attracted the attention of many people and of course, Iphone 14 became a strong competitor of phone brands this year.

Interestingly, Apple launched the Iphone 14 with a new dark purple version. This is not the first time Iphone has appeared with purple color, before that Iphone 11 and iPhone 12 also had different purple colors: pastel purple and lavender.

However, the launch of Apple's new deep purple Iphone made ARMY extremely excited. Since purple is one of ARMY's signature colors, it symbolizes the term borahae (I purple you). So purple is often used in conjunction with BTS.

In addition, V once explained that “borahae” or “I Purple You” means “I'll love you till the end of days,” since purple (violet) is the last color of the rainbow. The phrase combines two Korean words: Violet (bora) and I love you (saranghae).

Therefore, products with purple color often attract large purchases by ARMYs and this iPhone is no exception. But ARMYs weren't the only ones paying attention to Apple's new purple iPhone, Samsung was quick to receive the signal and suspect that it was created with inspiration from BTS - who are representing their brand.

On September 7, the same day as the Apple Event, Samsung tweeted, "COOL STORY BRO", but with purple emojis in place of the purple O, clearly implying a 14-color Iphone New Deep Purple.

In August, Samsung held its annual Samsung Unpacked event. With the help of BTS Global Ambassador, the new Galaxy Z Flip4 was introduced with a new color Bora Purple, named after Borahae. So Samsung is making hints that Apple copied their purple color.

An ARMY also pointed out that since Samsung originally released Bora Purple in honor of BTS and Apple is trying to compete by introducing Deep Purple, BTS is the real reason behind it all. Samsung answered boldly, “The math is mathing.”

However, the shade doesn't end there. On September 7, when Apple launched new products, Samsung made a series of moves on social networks that were supposed to challenge Apple. Many tweets hint that Apple seems to have copied Samsung's features and names…

But in the end, one can see that BTS's influence is huge in the commercial industry as the big boys are all trying to make an impact from there!
