In just a few hours, BTS will appear at the White House and meet with President Joe Biden for an important talk. The current members are resting and preparing for tomorrow's event.
Surely the current mood of the members is both excited and a little nervous. Especially with an important position like RM - the group's spokesman and leader. So what did he do to prepare for tomorrow?
According to the latest announcement from the White House office, BTS will meet President Joe Biden at 4 AM KST (June 1) in the White House. They will discuss the need to come together in solidarity, Asian inclusion and representation, and addressing anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination.
BTS and the President will meet in the Oval Office - the largest and most powerful room in the White House. More specifically, this is where the US president receives other presidents and prime ministers of monarchies.
Not everyone is allowed in the oval house. It's a place seen as a high value. Most people only get invited to the garden.
This can show how much the president values the appearance of BTS and this meaningful meeting. And surely when going to such a powerful place, BTS will be a little nervous, excited, and nervous.
However, as normal, press representatives and reporters will not be allowed to film or take any photos in the White House. The statement also clearly indicated that tomorrow's talk will not be in the presence of the press.
A day before the event, BTS has no official schedule and they are free to enjoy their trip to Washington. Members posted ways in which they relax before meeting the president.
While Jin, Jimin, Taehyung, and j-hope played skydiving games or went to the golf course, RM as a habit went to a museum in this city. He visited Philip Guston’s Now which is about challenging ideas of wh*te supremacy, racism, and America's complicity in the abuse of minorities.
Guston’s later work included blunt images of hooded Ku Klux Klan figures as the artist interrogated his role as a white man—and more broadly all of white America’s complicity—in the nation’s never-ending abuse of minorities. Many of them address challenging themes, including white supremacy, racism, anti-Semitism, and violence, in part through their imagery.
The exhibition features multiple paintings of hooded Ku Klux Klansmen, and truncated body parts,...
It seems RM is looking for inspiration and wants to learn more about the issues he will be presenting at the White House with the president tomorrow. RM has always been very hard-working and has a passion for meaningful exhibitions.
Hopefully, BTS and RM will have a nice and smooth talk with the president tomorrow!
