Recently, RM revealed his true thoughts on what BTS stands for during a live broadcast. This made many ARMYs really think about what BTS means in their lives and really agree, BTS is truly a great love in the world we can have.
In the latest Vlive that RM performed after the PTD Las Vegas concert a few days ago, he shared that BTS is more than just members of the group, but above all: "BTS is not just about seven boys. It’s a huge wave consisting of various people. And what they ignore is the existence of the ARMY."
RM also sincerely shared that the diverse audience that has helped them achieve where they are today is a huge part of what sets BTS apart from others. He say: "We may not be as great as the self-made artists or anyone else but we got something special, too. We got something different, I think. And that can be the team, that can be the nationality, or the language we use and we write. But I think the most important point is the ARMY and the people who truly support us. And not just support us, but being together with us."
Really in the K-pop world, BTS is something very distinct, they are breaking barriers to Korean and Asian culture, representing today's global youth. BTS can discuss with the public on topics of self-love, mental health, culture, and even more progressive issues. In this way, the concept of “BTS” encompasses more than simply the members that make up the group. And as RM said: "BTS in 2022 is really complicated and sophisticated. When you say BTS, it's not just 7 boys, it includes the industry, maybe the Korean thing but mostly the ARMY".
But ultimately what matters most to RM, an important part of BTS is the involvement of ARMYs and their sincere, reciprocal relationships with their ARMYs: "It’s not just one way, it’s mutual. We give them something and they give us something and I truly felt today as well, seeing you guys in person and hearing your voices, it’s something that comes from the heart. And it’s abut the soul. Sharing hearts and sharing souls."
Not only that, but RM also shared that through BTS's art and journey, the members and fans can have a connection: "We may not know each other if I didn’t do this team or music. Maybe I’ll have a trip to Las Vegas and just pass by you guys as a tourist from Korea. But now, through music and performance and the team, we can be something".
Although BTS may have started off with seven boys and hardships from day one, they now have millions of people who love and support them. Let's enjoy a wonderful 2022 with BTS!
