BTS has been working together for more than a decade, including nearly 8 years living in the same dorm. So more than anyone else, the members understand the personalities and feelings of others and become friends so they can confide and share.
In particular, SUGA and RM are the two members with the longest time together and they seem to have become good partners and the first foundation for BTS's friendship to develop. However, to have the friendship like today, in fact, they also went through many misunderstandings and quarrels.
RM even felt guilty for being rude to SUGA when looking back at their past actions:
BTS is probably one of the few groups that dare to speak out the differences of each member and their internal conflicts in public. Because idols are always kept the image of a united group and people often don't see the hidden corners behind what they show on stage or screen.
Perhaps it is also by daring to show those differences and conflicts that BTS can easily erase the problems as well as create the best teamwork among the Kpop groups. Even when there are bitter conflicts, they also learn to resolve it quickly and have kept a beautiful friendship for the past 10 years.
Everyone thinks that members like SUGA and RM are calm and brave people, so there will be less conflicts with others or even with each other. But in fact, the two had to learn and change a lot to be able to have the current calmness and understanding friendship like now. In one sharing, RM did not hesitate to talk about the first days when RM and SUGA started working life together.
While many people think that SUGA and RM are the seemingly quietest and most compatible members of the group, RM once revealed that he felt sorry for SUGA in their early days. This feeling has followed RM for many years, even in the present moment when he recalls it and he regrets it.
Because SUGA's nature is so calm, he also doesn't show much emotion before each situation, so it is very difficult for RM to understand what is going on in his head and inside. When BTS debuted, RM felt that they always had to be active and show more. Therefore, there are some moments when RM believes he was rude to SUGA when he wanted to urge him to do something.
Looking back at these moments, RM believes he shouldn't act like that, especially since SUGA is older than him. He considers his anger and harsh demands on SUGA before as leader is wrong. He didn't understand how SUGA was feeling and just imposed his thoughts on him.
But RM also shared that he felt a bit sad seeing SUGA feel down and hid his feelings without letting him know. That made it very difficult for him to share with SUGA as well as support him during his early debut activities. But now, SUGA has learned to be more open about his feelings and he knows how to tell the members when he's feeling down or tired.
That made RM so much more relieved and he got more opportunities to get to know SUGA more.
It seems that the two have been going through a difficult time with their thoughts and feelings. But in the end it was fortunate that the two learned to grow positively and build a warm friendship.
