Among the older celebrities who are known to be friends with Jin, comedian Park Myung Soo is probably the most familiar name to fans. A veteran in the кσяєαn entertainment industry, he has long been recognized through countless variety shows, radio programs, and talk shows.

Previously, during promotions for “The Astronaut”, Jin appeared on Park’s YouTube show Halmyungsoo. Despite their 17-year age gap, the two showcased an adorable and humorous friendship without any generational barriers.

Because of this, most people αѕѕumed the two were in frequent contact like close friends. But it seems the reality is quite different! Recently, the comedian revealed that their friendship had been disrupted after he discovered soмєтнing ѕнσ¢кing while looking at Jin’s phone. In fact, he admitted that it became “hard to keep texting Jin” after what he saw.

Specifically, in the September 29 episode of Halmyungsoo on YouTube, Park Myung Soo and Hwang Kwanghee were preparing traditional pancakes for the Chuseok holiday. During filming, the production team brought up how both men shared soмєтнing in common: they were huge fans of G-Dragon. This prompted Kwanghee to lament how difficult it was to stay in touch with the star, since G-Dragon undoubtedly receives an overwhelming number of messages.

Right after, Park Myung Soo surprised everyone by bringing up a similar experience with Jin: “After seeing Jin’s phone, I just stopped texting him. He gets about a thousand messages a day.”

His confession left Kwanghee ѕнσ¢кed, asking in disbelief: "Why? He gets tons? A day?(no way!)". Park then went on to reveal that it wasn’t just the sheer number of messages—among Jin’s contacts were world-renowned artists like Ed Sheeran and Coldplay. "It's for real. He is (caption: my younger brother) Jinnie Jinnie Jinnie~", trying to salvage a bit of their playful friendship.

As soon as the episode aired, Jin’s “unrivaled global network” stunned fans, leaving them in αωє of his status as a true worldwide superstar. Many also began speculating that he might be planning a new project with some of his famous musician friends.

On the other hand, Park Myung Soo’s reaction also reminded fans of a past incident involving him and BTS, back when the group had just debuted and were far from the megastars they are today. About eight years ago, the members happened to run into Park Myung Soo near a restroom at Gimpo International Airport. Although Jin and BTS greeted him politely, Park ignored them and even told them to “just go” instead of agreeing to take a photo together.

Fans now jokingly see Park’s reluctance to text Jin as a form of “karma” for his coldness in the past. Park himself later admitted that he regretted not treating BTS better back when they weren’t yet famous.
