Michael Jackson’s Son & Younger Sister Thank BTS For This Special Thing

Michael Jackson and BTS – two musical icons of two generations – yet they seem to share a special connection through music, dance, and timeless spiritual values, even though they have never met in real life.

Music critics have repeatedly compared BTS to a global music phenomenon on par with Michael Jackson, in terms of cultural influence and the ability to connect with millions of au∂ιєnces from all walks of life. Renowned artists such as Usher, Chris Martin (Coldplay), eAeon, and famous choreographers have all publicly praised BTS as a group that carries the spirit of innovation, similar to how Michael Jackson once revolutionized the music world.

On the other hand, throughout their career, BTS has expressed their admiration for the "King of Pop" many times, not only through performances inspired by Michael, but also through the performing style and artistic mindset they pursue.

Michael Jackson’s son – Prince Michael – himself once expressed his gratitude to BTS in an interview with journalist McEwan. When asked about BTS being influenced by Michael through songs like Dynamite or Butter, Prince Michael expressed: "...It’s very interesting to see them and when I see that level of influence, being influenced by my father, it’s really cool for them to show that kind of… The way they pay respect and homage to my father’s honor and legacy. It’s really gratifying and really heartwarming to see that they have that much love and respect for him."

He also praised BTS as a “once-in-a-lifetime act”, and expressed his pride in seeing his father’s musical legacy being continued by the next generation in a civilized, creative, and modern way. "And also, it’s super cool to see that my father was a trendsetter and that you can see that how they’re kinda continuing those trends but also adapting them to the modern era and then doing it their own way. It’s really cool just to continue that creative flow,” he mentioned.

Prince Michael particularly liked how BTS transformed his father’s old trends into soмєтнing new and fresher for today’s generation, while still preserving the original spirit.

Meanwhile, Janet Jackson – Michael Jackson’s sister – was almost won over by the seven кσяєαn boys after just one in-person meeting. She even affirmed: “If my brother were alive, he would love them for who they are, just like I do.”

When she met BTS, she felt that they were very endearing, sincere, and had a true value that goes far beyond fame. She believed that if Michael were still alive, he would also love BTS, not just because they are famous, but because of their character, qualities, and the energy they bring – just as she feels now.

This shows a connection between great artists of two generations, and reflects the deep, respectful perspective that the Jackson family – famous in the entertainment industry – has for BTS. At the same time, it also reflects how the late artist Michael Jackson always cherished the true value of people, not just the spotlight.

The intersection between BTS and Michael Jackson does not stop at inspiration or words of praise. According to many reliable sources recently, BTS has quietly recorded an unreleased song by Michael Jackson at Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland – where Michael once worked in 2006.

The studio’s owner, Paddy Dunning, also confirmed that the group came there to participate in an official tribute album dedicated to Michael, expected to be released in 2026.

This album will include about 10 unreleased songs, written during the time Michael lived in Ireland, with production involvement from close collaborators such as Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew. The fact that BTS is among the few artists selected to perform these “legacy” tracks shows the special trust from the Michael Jackson Estate and the production team.

In the context of the whole world anticipating BTS’s return in 2025–2026, the group’s contribution to an official Michael Jackson tribute album is not only a proud milestone, but also a clear testament to the global and long-lasting influence they now possess.
