On the 23rd, BTS’s agency officially confirmed the news, stating, “‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN GOYANG’ will be held at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9th, 11th, and 12th. The fan club pre-sale on the 22nd sold out all three dates.” It was reported that when Nol Ticket—the official ticket distributor for BTS concerts in South кσяєα—opened the pre-sale exclusively for verified Weverse members on the 22nd, the number of people waiting in the queue exceeded 100,000 within just a few minutes.

Following the release of tickets for BTS’s Goyang concerts, Ticketmaster—the official ticket distributor for BTS concerts outside South кσяєα, including the United States, ¢αиα∂α, мєχι¢σ, Europe, and the United Kingdom—also began its pre-sale rounds in various countries as previously announced. The response from overseas markets was equally intense. The shows in Tampa and Stanford (United States) sold out immediately upon opening, prompting organizers to add an additional concert date in each city.
Meanwhile, demand to see BTS in мєχι¢σ City was reported by local media to have reached “historic levels” on January 23, after the exclusive ARMY Membership pre-sale recorded sold-out shows within just a few hours for the May 7 and May 9 concert dates at Estadio GNP Seguros.
This news was undoubtedly soмєтнing to be proud of, and fans who managed to secure tickets early celebrated their good fortune. However, the atmosphere within the Mexican fan community was far less celebratory, as they soon discovered signs of fraud and unfair practices during the ticketing process.
Specifically, only a few hours after the pre-sale closed, Mexican ARMYs found that more than half of the tickets were already being resold on secondary marketplaces at exorbitant prices. This meant that over half of the genuine fans in the country were unable to purchase tickets to attend their idols’ concert. The so-called “sold out” status turned out to be the result of ticket scalpers and black-market reselling.

The ѕнσ¢к did not end there. Mexican ARMYs were even more stunned when a video circulating online showed ticket resellers shouting outside the venue, claiming, “No membership required.” Pre-sale tickets for the мєχι¢σ concerts were supposed to be available exclusively to ARMY Membership holders through Ticketmaster. However, in the video, the woman essentially stated that membership no longer mattered and that tickets were being sold at the box office to anyone who wanted to buy them.
Her statement led ARMYs to speculate in several directions. Some suspected that she was a ticket scalper who had hoarded tickets through Ticketmaster, and if that were the case, ARMYs discouraged fans from purchasing resale tickets. Others worried that she—or black-market resellers more broadly—might be scamming inexperienced fans, meaning buyers could end up receiving no tickets at all after making payment.
An even more serious concern emerged: that Ticketmaster itself may have engaged in unfair practices during this ticket sale, allowing box offices or resellers to gain access before fans were able to participate in the pre-sale. One fan complained, “Ticketmaster has truly ruined the experience for genuine fans.” Others directly tagged Ticketmaster in posts demanding clarification and accountability.
Meanwhile, Mexican fans went so far as to write a formal letter detailing the situation and calling for intervention from HYBE, Ticketmaster, and PROFECO (мєχι¢σ’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency) to address the issue. The letter clearly emphasized the frustration of local fans, stating: “It is not fair that ‘sold out’ is celebrated when it actually represents exclusion, abuse, and speculation.”

Mexican ARMYs, along with many international fans, are now widely sharing the letter, information about the unfair ticketing practices, and their collective outrage:
- as a mexican army i ask armys around the world to help us, more than half of the tickets released on presale are being sold on reseller sites at crazy prices, they were being sold even before armys could access the presale #BTS_WORLDTOUR_MEXICOCITY
- Ticketmaster argues that nothing wrong happened on presale but why people that were 5k, 3k on queue for a stadium weren’t able to get any tickets
- After all, it's about the country's and the government's reputation. Meanwhile, I'll help Mexican ARMYs spreading this info in all my social media accs
- we are emailing @Profeco which is the branch that deals with stuff like this but we want to have a bigger reach so they can’t ignore us
- it was awful, so many army friends didn’t get any tickets and it makes me so mad to see how shameless ticketmaster and all the scalpers are being with army
- 60000 dollars??? In this economy wthhh. Dont patronize resellers...they will have no choice to sell it soon at a lower price if no one buys it
- This is incredibly unfair to armys who have waited years for this moment, just to see Ticketmaster enable scalpers instead
- This is ridiculous and I hope Ticketmaster get a huge lawsuit on their αѕѕes. How can they just dgaf about presale rules and give out come-first tickets at box office?! Looks like almost half the tickets were taken by scalpers before the presale even started
- I feel so bad for мєχι¢σ Army. Ticketmaster really ruined it for actual fans. How did they allow access to resellers before fans could even get to join presale.
- Resellers will continue taking tickets away from real fans as long as you keep buying from them. THIS IS UNFAIR. DO NOT BUY THEM. NO TO TICKET RESELLING IN MEXICO
