As usual, the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation recently announced the popularity rankings of Kpop boy groups in April 2022. At the top of the list is still a familiar name along with the return of some veteran boy groups. Here is the top 10 of K-Pop boy group brand value rankings for April.
Recently, the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation has revealed brand value rankings for K-Pop boy groups for the month of April, based on big data analysis from consumer participations, to media peformances, communications, community activities, etc. The data was synthesized from March 9 through April 9, 2022.
Based on the research, the the top 10 K-Pop boy groups in terms of brand value for April are:
10. MONSTA X
Staying at the 10th place is Monsta X with 1,877,379 points in total. In the recent time, the announcements that Monsta X will comeback in early April have made the group receive great attention from the public, raising the brand value points.
09. The Boyz
Coming in 9th place is The Boyz with 1,910, 081 points. In this, the group hold a participation index of 177,621, a media index of 595,301, a communication index of 266,826 and a community index of 870,333.
08. BTOB
Although not one of the most prominent boy groups at the moment, BTOB still maintains its remarkable charm when continuously in the top 10 of the boy group brand value rankings. This month, BTOB holds the 8th place with 2,265,628 points.
07. Stray Kids
Stray Kids came in 7th place in the rankings after seeing 2,480,184 points in their brand value index for April 2022. This month, Stray Kids also celebrated their 4th debut anniversary and achieved outstanding achievements such as No.1 Billboard 200 with Oddinary.
06. NCT
NCT ranked at 6th place with a brand reputation index of 2,694,839 for April. This month, NCT's fans eagerly await the return of NCT Dream with the boys' much-anticipated plans.
05. EXO
This month, EXO witnesses the 5th place of their brand value with 2,718,934 points. This is EXO's 10th debut anniversary month and they still stand out as one of the most charismatic 3rd gen groups.
04. Super Junior
Super Junior ranked at 4th place this month with 2,856,169 points. The comeback of the single after many months of absence shows the great brand value of one of the most prominent idols of the 2nd generation.
03. Seventeen
3rd place went to Seventeen with a total of 3,264,715 points this month. Seventeen hold the participation index of 384,970, media index is 1,242,890, communication index is 657,406, community index is 979,499. 13-member boygroup proves their great impact on Kpop world through the way they remain their ranking in top 10.
02. Big Bang
2nd generation group Big Bang achieved 2nd place this month with a total of 7,655,526 points total, a whopping 847% increase from last month's rankings because Big Bang has just came back with a single. Although they has not much promotion activities for their comeback, their single is still hot on many charts and online communities.
01. BTS
The first rank this month goes to BTS with an overwhelming 13,032,735 points. BTS continues dominating the brand value ranking for April when they appear anywhere on media, online community and news. The keyword of the group’s highest-ranking brand value included in “concert,” “PTD Las Vegas", “ARMY”, "Grammy"...Although BTS didn't win an award at this year's Grammy Awards, their performance really stood out more than the award itself.
