Meanwhile, Jungkook also revealed many signs that he may enlist at the same time as the other 4 members even though he still has many years until the ∂єα∂line to enlist. Ever since j-hope enlisted in the army in March this year, Jungkook seemed to have a personal plan for this issue.
During a livestream not long after, Jungkook talked about his m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service and what he would prepare for when he enlisted, such as getting a haircut. Specifically, he once mentioned that just like Jin or j-hope, he "also has to go (to m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷). I’ll go and return cooly". But Jungkook also did not forget to give some interesting stories about his plan to cut his hair if he joined the army even though that was not what he wanted.
He humorously said: "Rather than cutting all my hair suddenly, I will gradually cut it shorter and shorter. It’s called hair-lighting (play on words from gaslighting), and I will keep cutting my hair shorter until you guys all of a sudden ask, What, when did his hair become so short? When did he buzz his hair? And so I will make it so that (my short haircut) feels natural."
Now, people are seeing Jungkook keeping his hair length at a very short level compared to the first months of the year. If at the beginning of this year, fans were delighted with Jungkook's charming visual with long curly hair and maintained it for many months, now, that hair has been replaced with a normal short hairstyle. That also means that Jungkook and the rest of BTS's planned enlistment is before June 2024. That's why Jungkook quickly released his solo album after just a few days of single promotions. He also made a lot of promotional plans this year as if he wanted to complete them before saying goodbye to fans for 18 months.
