Over the years, ARMYs have been asking fans in the fandom to respect BTS members when they go live. There are even instructions and translated comments from English to kσrєαn available for fans who can't write kσrєαn themselves to interact with the members.
However, the fact that BTS members constantly receive disrespectful comments from their own fans is still happening at an alarming rate. Most recently, Jungkook was the one who faced one of these rude comments.
But instead of getting angry or having negative reactions, Jungkook has a subtle and sk̾i̾l̾l ̾ful way to make netizens applaud. Here is Jungkook's reaction when in that situation:
Since giving up his Instagram account earlier this year to focus on long hours of live broadcasts on Weverse Live, Jungkook has entertained ARMY with various live broadcasts. From singing along with fans, watching movies and eating fried chicken to just chatting in bed, exercising or even when he's drinking with SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, Jungkook can broadcast live. and attract millions of viewers.
It shows how much he really puts in the effort to communicate with his fans. Not only that, but he also always makes fans flutter when sharing his sincere thoughts and affection for ARMYs through live broadcasts.
Although he has a great love for ARMYs, he is not always easy-going or ignores the impolite comments of some fans who go overboard. Specifically, on August 3, when Jungkook did a broadcast on Weverse Live after briefly experiencing the live broadcast feature on Tiktok, he read a comment from a fan who did not speak kσrєαns describe watching live as "painful" because they can't understand it.
This comment from ARMYs was written: "Watching the live is painful because I can’t speak kσrєαn. I don’t know what you’re saying."
Instead of ignoring this fan comment, Jungkook started explaining why he doesn't speak another language. But not stopping there, fans were more surprised when Jungkook even came up with a solution that they both learn each other's languages for future communication rather than leaving those comments. It was such a heady reaction that I'm sure the person who left that comment had to bow his head, embarrαssed by him.
Jungkook said: "It’s the same here for me. Let’s both start learning. Now, study some kσrєαn. Let’s work hard on studying kσrєαn."
He also added: "It’s hard for me too. Just how frustrating it must be for me too, huh? Let’s start learning kσrєαn. F1ghting."
After Jungkook's reaction, other fans couldn't help but be proud of how seriously and deeply he handled the situation. Whenever Jungkook goes live, although he usually speaks in kσrєαn, he also tries to speak in English a few times so that international fans understand him, especially when there are no live subtitles. That is also a clear reference to his earlier statement.
Instead of him alone trying to learn English to speak for fans who don't understand kσrєαn, the two can learn each other's languages for communication situations. There are many international ARMYs who are doing the same and they have even succeeded with learning kσrєαn.
Along with that, ARMYs were very angry when someone left such rude comments:
- We been telling people! If you don't like that you can't understand him, then learn kσrєαn!
- It makes me so mad because some ARMY'S don't speak english either, so why the boys have to learn english for a few fans when it's better for all of us to learn kσrєαn? That's the common ground for everyone
- I find comments like this so disrespectful and annoying. We should already be aware that he will speak more using his language because we are obviously stanning a kσrєαn group, he is literally from South kσrєα. What do they expect him to do? He is making every effort to learn English as well. Not only Jungkook receive comments like this; other BTS members also receive them when they are live. And like Joon said in one of his previous lives. "Someone will be translating this online". They know that they can rely on APAGOs (ARMY Translators) on Twitter. I hope they just go here and read the translations it's not that hard.
- Sadly, it's their loss that they don't have Twitter. Idk the reasons but either it's by choice or they don't have Twitter in their country. But those who chose not to have Twitter because they are intimidated by twt ARMYs, they have to find their own way on how they can understand Weverse Lives and they shouldn't complain to the boys about this
- you guys learn korean for jungkook, okay? he's been learning english to communicate even more with international armys, it's the least we all can try to do
- I love how lovely and sweet he is. He’s our Best friend y’all!

- you guys learn korean for jungkook, okay? he's been learning english to communicate even more with international armys, it's the least we all can try to do
- This has to be kids bc no adult over 18 would be asking him this at this point.
