Jungkook Explains The True Meaning Of His Tattoos For The First Time

After a long wait, BTS' Jungkook finally returned to Weverse Live and sent netizens into a frenzy last night. Jungkook once made ARMYs' nostalgia disappear overnight with his fun-filled live.

Not only that, in this livestream, Jungkook also revealed the details of the tattoos he owns for the first time and what they mean to him. Through it, ARMYs also get more information about himself – things ARMYs have wanted to hear for years.

In particular, there is a tattoo that best depicts Jungkook's personality and personality and was made public for the first time by him:

Late last night, ARMYs were delighted when a Weverse announcement popped up with a text from the youngest member saying "Knock Knock." This was Jungkook's first announcement in days. he's absent from all social platforms and ARMYs seem to be going crazy over the signal.

Just then, another announcement appeared, this time a live stream! Fans immediately went nuts when they saw Jungkook in a black t-shirt and longer curly hair.

Naturally, the tattoos on his exposed arm also caught the attention of fans because they were so close. Not caring about getting in trouble with the company, Jungkook continued to chat and eventually started talking about the meaning behind some of his tattoos when some ARMYs asked about it.

Although ARMYs have had the opportunity to see the tattoos clearly before, ARMYs have never heard Jungkook talk about these tattoos himself. He began to speak passionately about every detail: "Okay let me explain! First of all I've got ARMY here and this is the first tattoo I ever got. ARMY is like someone who's dignified to me, and someone I'm so proud of, so it made no sense to be putting ARMY in a place where I can't see it. So somehow it ended up he- I mean cause, at the beginning, this ARMY was the only tattoo I wanted to get. I wanted to get just this and I'm slighly disappointed about the font.. I wanted to get something more splendid, cause ARMY is supposed to be splendid. I mean, cause you're splendid to me. But it turned out too simple so- anyways! ARMY was the first tattoo I got! I got it done while thinking of you.

Ah! And this crown on top is like... there's ARMY here, and it starts with A from here so I gave you a crown. I gave ARMY a crown, and the J here is the J from JK, and I placed it here cause I wanted it to be symmetrical to the crown. And these + signs, I just got them done.. I got it done with the people who were at the tattoo shop that day.

And this is just my favourite emoji. And this was originally purple! But now it's kinda turned into the colour of a bruise. So, I'd probably get this one retouched to a bright purple, and this one's our 0613, I bet you all already know what it is. And this is the ARMY logo. Everything here except the emoji and the + in the gaps are all related to you guys. To be honest, I wanted to get this entire logo developed with a coverup, I want to make it clearer and prettier, but I still didn't get it done cause nowadays I don really feel like going out to get a tattoo.

And this one, this was actually a cover-up and I'm guessing this was the most recent one I got. There are many meaningful and meaningless tattoos, and this one here had a meaning too. I guess it's the date I came... to Seoul? That date is hidden somewhere in this tattoo.

And then here are two of my favourite quotes. Then this is my birth flower and it's got "Please love me (flower meaning)"

Special, One tattoo fans love the most is the large clock on his arm linked to the microphone and chain. According to Jungkook, this message is connected to his love of music and the fact that he was “born to sing.”

Jungkook explained that the time on the clock was intentional and is actually the time that he was born: "This clock! Do you see this clock? This clock shows the time I was born. If you see this, I was born around 3… 3:25? 23? I was born then."

Now that Jungkook has given fans his birth time, it’s possible to look up his full birth chart; something ARMYs have wanted to do for years. While fans know his Sun and Moon signs, this time has given a better look into his astrological chart:

  • Sun In Virgo
  • Moon in Leo
  • Rising in Leo
  • Mercury in Virgo
  • Venus in Libra
  • Mars In Scorpio

Those with a Sun in Virgo are known to be modest and detail-oriented. Moon and Rising in Leo are thought to point out those with an innate need for passion, fun, and creative self-expression in life. These traits fit Jungkook’s personality perfectly!

Those with a Mercury in Virgo are thought to be very sharp, with quick minds that process information quickly, while a Venus in Libra means that a person is intelligent and funny while being a true romantic at heart.

Finally, those with a Mars in Scorpio often challenge themselves to be the best they can be while being extremely passionate. Whether you believe in Astrology or not,  it is always fun to see how people can sometimes match up with their given traits!

Last but not least, Jungkook even said about some of tattoos which he ever re-did it: "And the ones above are... to be honest, at first I just blindly got these tattoos done and (later) got them covered up. I mean, if I hadn't gotten them blindly like this, I would've gotten them done prettier... but you know how I am. If I'm into something, I just do it.

It's just Bam-ie behind btw! And this hahoetal (traditional kr mask) too, I got this done with my friend at the tattoo shop, and I just re-did all of it in colour with a cover up, cause the person who's doing my tattoos now is so good at it, he's like the person who's currently giving life to my arm.

And this, the clouds... I think it was when we were in the U.S? Or somewhere overseas? It was this tattoo place I went looking for and wow... that person was not on the same page as me. It hurt way too much and it was during the filming of ON MV, that part of my skin was completely rotten and inflamed too. It was on my elbow pit, so it dries and then when I stretch it in and out again ugh it was such a mess. I went through a lot with that one.. so he (new tattooist) turned them into clouds. And the lighting bolts, I just got these cause I had clouds in here too.

And over here, originally there was an eye. But there were too many people who hated it, saying it was somewhat like illuminati. How do I put this... so, the reason I got this eye tattoo, was to mean something like "Beware of your actions"? I mean, when I just keep my hands like this, I don't see the eye tattoo right? Like, I can't see the eye with my own eyes right? So, because of that... umm, I think I was trying to imply that I'm being watched by people in any and every situation. Since people disliked it a lot, I covered it up with this bulletproof here, I changed it to BTS.

And then I've got Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (the most beautiful moment in life) here, and this one (on the elbow) is like uh...Dancheong (kr traditional floral pattern)?

That's that and- Oh please go to sleep if you want to! I'm just rambling to myself here. And on my shoulder I've also got moon tattoos, I actually have many of them and need to get cover-ups done for them too but just not so bothered to.

And... yeah I just got them, I mean to be honest it's okay to regret it. Like, there are times I also wonder if I really had to make my arm look like this, but what can I do about it? It's bygones anyway. Regretting bygones are the most foolish thing you know? So, atleast now I should try to do it well.  Oh and the one that was here, you guys know the Sky/Heaven/Air from the trigrams (in the SK flag ) right?

I think in an interview or somewhere I mentioned that I wanted to fly in the sky or how I loved the dream I was flying in or something, so I wanted to get that from the trigrams... But, there were quite, a lot of people who hated this too. So I got this snake.

Why did I get this snake? Cause snakes shed, don't they? So apparently snakes mean growth, I thought that was nice and just decided to get that. I was wondering how to cover this up, I mean, if I was gonna get the trigrams, I'd have gotten it done newly in a prettier way...and then they suggested this snake tattoo to me.

There wasn't anything exactly to cover it up, plus the meaning of it sounded nice, and since it means growth, I just got that done. Ah, my friendship tattoo is over here! Is it visible? Can you see it? Can you see the 7 here?".

Although it's been a long story about all the tattoos on his arm but Jungkook still spent his night for ARMYs to tell details.
