In the latest episode of Are You Sure? Season 2, Jungkook stirred global social media after telling Jimin about the very first time he genuinely liked a girl — back when he was in 8th grade — and surprisingly, she wasn’t кσяєαn!

Specifically, in a scene where Jimin and Jungkook were chatting casually in front of a local restaurant, a flash of memory suddenly came back to the Golden Maknae. He confessed: “The first time I ever liked someone who wasn't кσяєαn was when I went to the US for that month-long trainee program.” Jimin, surprised, asked: “Huh? Weren’t you in 9th grade back then?” and Jungkook corrected him: “8th grade.”

If fans still remember, that was exactly the period when Bang PD and BTS’s main choreographer Son Seungdeuk decided to send Jungkook to the United States to train for a month after recognizing the tremendous potential hidden in the 15-year-old boy. Jungkook’s first crush blossomed during that month when he kept running into the girl at the dance studio in the US.

Jungkook continued: “It was a girl who was there for dance lesson like me. She was also very young, a student like me. At first I thought she was really pretty, but then I started seeing her really often… The dance teacher told me ‘Go talk to her at least once!’”

As Jungkook shared this part, Jimin began cheering while listening to the story. But Jungkook then admitted: “But I was like ‘I don’t even speak English’ … so we couldn’t communicate.” Jimin followed up with, “But if it were now?” and Jungkook honestly replied: “Maybe I would go for it. In English, ‘I like you!’”.

Jungkook’s conclusion made fans scream out loud because of how adorable he was, realizing that the 8th-grade Jungkook must have really liked her, rather than just having a fleeting crush.
