Just enjoying Jungkook's concert a few days ago, fans "sobbed" because it won't be long until he enlists. This seems to be an unhappy week for fans after вιg нιт Music announced the enlistment news of all 4 members of the group.
Perhaps, understanding the fans' mood as well as his own feelings, Jungkook wrote a letter to comfort ARMYs. In his last letter before enlisting, Jungkook shared his anxiety about having to leave fans, and at the same time, he also confirmed his official enlistment time, making fans even more emotional.

This morning, November 22, Bł₲ Ⱨł₮ Music on behalf of the 4 members of BTS sent an announcement about their enlistment and future plans. The announcement content said that RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are preparing for the m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ enlistment process by canceling their m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service deferment thanks to receiving the Order of Cultural Merits in 2018.
Similar to the previous members of BTS who have enlisted, the remaining 4 members may enlist about a month later, which is mid-December. With 4 BTS members, it seems like they will enlist as active duty sold̾i̾e ̾rs and will complete their service in 18 months. The decision of the four BTS members to enlist simultaneously is also said to be in line with the return plan of all members in early 2025.
Obviously, this is not very happy news for both BTS and ARMYs because they will have to break up for a long time. Equivalent to that, it won't be until June next year that at least one member of BTS will return after enlisting, that is Jin. Therefore, fans really felt worried and sad during the long period of separation from the remaining members.
It seemed like he understood the emotions that ARMYs were going through, so Jungkook wrote a final letter to his fans before enlisting to ease their mood. This coming december, I will be beginning a new journey. i am going to be leaving your sides for a little bit in order to complete my m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service.
as I am delivering this news, on one hand, my heart feels heavy, but on the other hand, I remember precious memories with ARMYs and my heart feels warm. All moments spent with you all until now were the brightest times of my life.
ARMYs smiles, cheers, and love has lead me until here, and thank you so much for quietly walking with me while supporting my dream. I am wary to ask you all to blindly wait for me while I complete my m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service, a year and 6 months is a long time, so I can't say soṃệẗḧing so selfish, but I promise that after returning, I will be where I always have been and stand on stage with a more improved side of myself.
I hope that ARMYs lives will always be full of laughter and happiness during this time, and I hope that ARMYs daily lives will be filled healthily and beautifully. I will miss you all deep in my heart as i wait for the day we will meet again and share new stories. Please dont get sick and be healthy.

In the letter, Jungkook also showed that it seems like he will leave before the new year without any hesitation. With the hope of reuniting with the rest of the group and BTS's joint activities, as soon as he completed his album promotion schedule, Jungkook along with his brothers signed up for m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service. That shows how much he and the members of BTS try to keep their promise to ARMYs.
