The concert of world-famous pop star Bruno Mars took place two successful nights in Seoul, South ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾a. Of course, like many concerts of other US-UK stars, this event also attracted many famous Kpop artists such as Jennie, Rosé, Lisa (BLACKPINK), V, RM (BTS), Donghae , Eunhyuk (Super Junior), G-Dragon, Lee Soo Hyuk,...
However, there was an u̾n̾e̾x̾p̾e̾c̾t̾e̾d ̾ controversy that erupted when some fans allege that K-pop artists and their families received special treatment when buying tickets to Bruno Mars' concert. Even some family members of celebrities were attacked because of this, including Jin's brother.
Quickly after knowing these controversies and allegations broke out, Jin's brother spoke up on his own and talked about the above case in his place. Jin's brother's status line has attracted the attention of many fans:
International pop star Bruno Mars is doing his world tour and most recently, he has had 2 successful concerts in ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾a. According to statistics recorded by ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾an media, there were more than 101,000 spectators present in both nights of Bruno Mars' music, showing how popular the male singer is.
However, after the show, Bruno Mars' concert was controversial when it was said to have "special treatment" with ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾an artists and idols. In particular, there were many idols, actors and even their relatives and friends present at Bruno Mars' concert, making many audiences suspect that they take advantage of popularity to receive special and priority tickets for the concert.
Worth mentioning, the "fιgнт" for tickets among the aud̾i̾e ̾nces when they want to own the best seats has been quite fierce, so a large number of celebrities and even their families and friends are allowed to sit in these rows made other fans unhappy. It even created a big controversy and many people were criticized for this allegation.
Among them, Jin's brother was also αccídєntally involved in accusations when he uploaded a photo of him and his wife attending Bruno Mars' concert with an invitation card from Hyundai. After being attack3d for allegedly taking advantage of Jin's reputation to get an invitation and a priority position at the concert, Jin's brother quickly spoke up to explain his appearance and frankly share against the accusations of netizens.
He immediately brought up the issue when he pointed out that the invitation ticket was given by his acquaintance who couldn't attend the concert and that he could completely reuse it. He wrote on his personal Instagram: "I apologize for causing controversy regarding the concert, which was supposed to be fun and enjoyable. After understanding the situation, I want to reveal my position to prevent any further secondary damage.
First, the ticket that many people have been curious about was not an invitation ticket reserved through a specific company or organization”, adding “Due to some reasons, I received transferable invitations issued by Hyundai Card from an acquaintance who couldn’t attend the concert. The claim that I obtained the ticket through an illegal purchase or with a special method is not true at all."
Not only that, but Jin's brother is also so kind that even though he was blamed, he still apologized to those who were criticized unnecessarily because of him. Finally, he wrote: "As stated on the invitation ticket, it was available for use by the membership holder or the individual who received the ticket through a transfer. However, I failed to anticipate the issues that could arise from this, and I sincerely apologize to those who have experienced secondary harm because of me."
In response to Jin's brother's response to the above accusation, ARMYs completely äṩṩumed that Jin's brother did not have to apologize for anything. Even in the case, he was invited because of Jin's fame, he still deserves it because it was the right of celebrity families.
ARMYs defended Jin's brother when he was criticized:
- Hahahahahaha. God who f*cking cares? ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾a is so cringe in that any tiny thing becomes a scandal. If Bruno or his team wanted to give all the biggest k idols seats on the stage itself, they should be able to.
- I'm still not seeing any problem or 'controversy', the artist is perfectly entitled to hand out invitations to whomever he pleases, and seat them where he pleases. One of the benefits of being a celeb, or family of a celeb, is that you get to know other celebs and artists, so there are connections, it's a perk of the job - there has to be some sort of compensation for constantly having to be watching your back, endlessly under surveillance and being gossiped about.
- LOL, if you pay more money you get better seats. What's up with ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾a? Are you guys a collective of morons?
- Imagine having a super popular brother that even your life becomes subject to scrutiny and mud-sl1nging lmaoo. Poor Joongie. He's minding his own business, being busy being a family man and business owner and the only time he gets to unwind watching a foreign artist's concert, he still gets unwanted attention
- this is literally not an issue. on variety shows, I watch K celebs all the time asking to be invited to someone’s show or the artist saying they’ll gift tickets to their show. what is this obsession with their celebs receiving “preferential treatment” anyways? as crazy as some fans can get, do they even think G Dragon, BTS, etc. should just sit anywhere??
- The fact that Jin's brother - MIND! Not a celebrity in his own right - apologised for anything is just absolutely absurd! People need to mind their d̾a̾m̾n ̾ business for once in their lives... stop it wirh the pleb behaviour!
- Why are ppl now hating on Jin's brother and his wife .even if he did use his brothers card there is nothing wrong with it why do he have to apologize for it .they are families for a reason .those sick äṩṩ ppl
- questioning how Jin’s brother could get good tickets to a concert is so f*cking weird when you consider that, after that lawsuit, we now know half those idols that were front & center don’t even get paid. doesn’t Jin’s brother own a restaurant? he prob has more money than them
Previously, a representative of Hyundai Card - the concert organizer also said that they have issued invitation tickets, but most of the tickets sold to artists are through the ticketing gate. Even to receive an invitation ticket from Hyundai Card, customers also need to own a high-cläṩṩ membership card. From a commercial point of view, it makes perfect sense for a customer to receive an invitation to a Bruno Mars concert.
Not only that, actress Song Hye Kyo also clarified the problem when she pointed out that she herself ordered 6 tickets like any other music-loving aud̾i̾e ̾nce. She kept only 1 ticket for herself and then gave the remaining 5 tickets to actors Jang Ki Yong, Park Hyo Joo, Ki Eun Se, Kim Joo Hun and creative director Jennie Jang. This partially removed the accusations that most artists, actors and their relatives were able to sit in beautiful seats in concerts because of priority tickets.
