Less than a month ago, BTS was severely criticized for not having made a decision to enlist as if they were waiting for a military exemption from the government. The harshness of netizens as well as unfounded rumors about BTS's enlistment have lasted for 2 years now and now it's time to end. Despite this, public pressure, haters or government decisions were never important in the group's decision to enlist.

Recently, Jin shared about the real reason why BTS announced their decision to enlist:

Since the popularity and influence of BTS is growing day by day, dealing with criticism is also getting more and more stressful. More specifically, when the members are reaching the age to perform military service but have not announced the schedule with certainty, they receive more rumors and other negative insults.

Perhaps no group has received as much attention as BTS. Similarly, there is no group whose enlistment has been influenced by the government and the opinions of the people.

Although BTS has repeatedly affirmed that they are ready to perform military service when the country calls their name and will announce it when there is official news. But the flow of bad information or those who take advantage of the opportunity to insult BTS is increasing more and more when BTS has not given feedback on this even though it is about to reach the age of enlistment.

Jin shared on the latest Weverse Live that he and the members know how much criticism they've encountered over the matter. But they think about ARMY and what they want to do for ARMY before enlisting so all those toxic things don't affect their decision.

Jin said: " I'm on the internet too, so I saw a lot of the backlash like oh why aren't you going to the military yet and so on but we didn't want the last concert to be tearful so we said we'd endure it a bit longer". He added more: "We got a lot of bad backlash, but we got to have a last concert without it being sad and tearful so it was good".

Even the members thought that BE was supposed to be their last album before enlistment but the following content and activities were from personal and professional choices and courtesy for the fans. Not only that, Jin was also planning to enlist in the summer or fall of this year but he chose in the end. stayed when the members said they wanted to have a concert in Korea and hear the cheers of ARMYs like the last time before enlistment.

Jin also talked about how BTS' enlistment decisions were all finalized in June, but because there are so many meaningful things they want to do for ARMY before enlisting, they don't want ARMY to think it's the last time. or feel sad because of the news of enlistment, so BTS did not announce it sooner. He said: "We didn't want to have a tearful concert, we didn't want to tell ARMYs and then have a sad last concert while people were sad that we're going so that's why we announced it like this".

All decisions and timing of BTS's enlistment are arranged for the sake of ARMY. Ministry of defense, government, HYBE or hater has never been the reason why BTS enlisted, but it is ARMY who makes BTS hesitate when deciding when to enlist, after accomplishing something.
