For Kpop fans, there are many reasons why Jin is an attractive idol in their eyes. The most special ones are his visuals like "a male lead from a comic book" and his flexible expressions.

Jin is often listed by Kpop fans as an idol whose acting talent is wasted because he does not participate in any K-dramas through years. At once, Jin was even eagerly nominated by fans for the male lead role in the K-drama adaptation of the novel True Beauty (later, Cha Eun Woo took on that role).

In the book BTS Beyond The Story, Jin υиєχρє¢тє∂ly revealed the truth behind his decision that year, surprising fans. It turned out that Jin did not give up his acting career from the beginning, but the problem was that Big Hit staff cleverly "tricked" him into joining the company.

"I was fooled (laughs)". Jin laughs, thinking back to his casting at Bł₲ Ⱨł₮ Entertainment in the spring of 2011. What the worker in charge of signing him had promised him back then technically hasn’t come to fruition.

Jin continued. "Look at how idols these days go into acting, 'We’ll let you become an actor eventually'. That’s how they convinced me. They were very persuasive."

Remember, Jin once talked about how he was wary when SM Ent and BL Entertainment staff approached him in the past because of his famous looks. While he was afraid of being scammed by SM Entertainment staff and rejected their offer, Big Hit Entertainment staff seemed to be more experienced and good at "playing trick".

But anyway, fortunately Big Hit Music's "trick" worked and Jin was convinced by the offer, which is why we have a complete BTS 7 today.
