Jin Is So Loved That Even His Military Sunbaes Can’t Help Admiring Him

Earlier this month, Big Hit Music officially announced that Jin will soon be enlisting to complete his mandatory military service. The company released a statement in multiple languages through Weverse.

Previously, news of Jin's enlistment had been circulating since late last month and Jin indirectly confirmed that he will be enlisting on December 13. Naturally, ARMYs are sad that we won't have one. Jin for almost two years. However, there are some people who are really excited about this enlistment news.

Those are male ARMYs who enlisted in the same unit as Jin. Below are their reactions to the news that Jin will be enlisting in the same unit as him.

From the end of last month to the beginning of this month, Korean media is swirling about Jin's enlistment on December 13. In the case of his enlistment, Jin and the company have both asked fans not to visit the military website nor to go to him at the recruit training center in Yeoncheon.

Although some ARMYs feel heartbroken and regretful, most agree that it is the best way to respect and keep him safe. However, they are still sad that they won't be able to see Jin for a long time. Meanwhile, there are very special cases where ARMYs even love this when they will be living in the same unit with their idols for 18 months.

Those are some lucky male ARMYs who literally enlisted in the army as well. That means they'll be enlisting with one of their favorite idols.

KOREA NOW has released a video interviewing other Korean youths who will be enlisting right before Jin. They all expressed pride in being his senior or friends in the same military as Jin.

A recently enlisted man said: "I'm entering the same training program as a celebrity. I feel a little proud of myself."

Although they may be his superiors, all of that will mean nothing to them because their love for him comes first! The men confessed they were fans, and one in particular was ARMY.

So they're all hoping to not only talk to Jin at some point, but get an autograph or a photo with him. One man who enlisted two weeks before Jin couldn't help but talk about his excitement: "I'm over the moon. I'm on nine cloud that I'll be two-week his superior. I wanted to have a conversation with Jin. I'm his big fan".

Not only do they admire and consider Jin as an idol, these ARMYs also expressed that they want to uplift and compliment Jin when he arrives. Whether it's in the form of a compliment or a respectful bow.

A fan of Jin's enlistment said: "I want to meet him ASAP. I want to get his photograph. Tell him some nice things like how good looking he is". While the other told that: "I should bow down on my knees".

Some of the men interviewed also plan to befriend Jin if given the chance. One hopes that the two can exchange life experiences, and another hopes they can continue to be friends even after their military service is over. He wants to play MapleStory with Jin.

A female ARMY who enlisted replied that: "I want to be someone he’d want to keep in touch with even after military service. I think we’ll be good friends. We’ll play MapleStory."

Anyone who is a fan of Jin knows that he is a huge fan of the game MapleStory. Previously, he expressed that it was his way of connecting with others despite his introverted personality: "I don’t have many friends, it’s not an environment where I can make friends. These days, it’s called MBTI. E is extroverted and I is introverted. I have a very high rate of I. Actually, I didn’t go out very often. But players in the game have fun with me and communicate a lot. I felt like I had a lot of friends."

Based on interviews with Jin's sunbaes, it seems that little or no hierarchy will exist because they will all be too excited to meet Jin. Love for idols is bigger than the hierarchy they have to follow.
