Jungkook once said that he didn’t feel social media activities like updating Instagram suited him very well, but he enjoyed connecting with fans through live broadcasts. Before enlisting, Jungkook was famous for his late-night livestreams that often went on for hours. Sometimes they were mini music shows, sometimes heartfelt chats, or even broadcasts where he would fall asleep until morning.
Therefore, since Jungkook returned from his military service in June this year, fans had already anticipated that they wouldn’t be able to stay away from Weverse Live for long. As expected, he has been diligently going live to talk with fans over the past few months. Each broadcast has been long and high-quality, filled with entertaining moments.
On October 28, another equally engaging livestream took place. This time, instead of singing or casual chatting, it was a gaming session between Jungkook and Jin — a brand-new, hilarious content for livestream that had both of them and fans bursting with laughter.
It seems like Jungkook came up with the idea himself, as he mentioned at the beginning of the broadcast: “Do you guys know Steam? The gaming livestream thing? What is it called...? The app? Where you can see countless gaming livestreams?”

Interestingly, Jin was aware of the idea and suggested that they play together. He commented under the maknae’s live broadcast: “Jungkook, what game are you playing? Wanna play a round with me?”
Since Jin couldn’t play PUBG and Jungkook wasn’t interested in Minesweeper, the maknae suggested playing Party Animals — a game available on Steam — instead. However, Jin noted that he didn’t have a Steam account, which surprised Jungkook, who asked again to confirm: “What do you mean you’ve got no Steam ID?”
It seemed Jungkook was sure that Jin must have had a Steam account but couldn’t understand why he said he didn’t. For gaming enthusiasts like the BTS duo, having a Steam account is nothing unusual.
Then, Jin’s response cleared things up. It turned out his account had been hacked, and the hacker did the worst possible thing — they deleted it from the system, causing him to lose it forever. “I did have an ID, but it was hacked and deleted. You could’ve just quietly played games — why’d you have to delete my account?” he commented, his frustration clearly showing as he recalled it.
Fortunately, he had prepared in advance, so it didn’t take long for him to join Jungkook’s game. Jin put on his “big brother” act, declaring, “Jwan teaching Jungkook a lesson #3,” and chatted: “I’m going in with a new nickname! I knew this would happen, so I charged my battle coins in advance! Come on in! What should my nickname be? Recommend one for me.”
Although Jin and Jungkook were eventually able to enjoy playing together on Jin’s new Steam account, fans still felt angry on Jin’s behalf toward the heartless hacker. Anyone who commits such an act of stealing others’ online accounts deserves condemnation. Some fans even called on tech-savvy fans to track down the person who had stolen Jin’s account to help him.
After Jin revealed this incident, fans started numerous online discussions across social media platforms:
- army hackers find out whose hacked Jin’s account
