Well, the love between fans for their idols is similar to any romantic love. It can be a love that hasn't broken for a hundred years, but sometimes that love only lasts for a certain period of time.

There is no obligation that forces a person to love another person forever and that is similar to admiring an idol. It's not unusual and leaving the fandom is soṃệẗḧing that often happens to K-pop groups. Even BTS is no exception and even the group members know this.

However, the most notable thing here is that Jimin and Jungkook had surprisingly different reactions about some fans no longer supporting the group. Then, ARMYs realized that it all came from appreciation for those who supported them:

I'm sure that among the ARMYs here, there are many who were fans of other groups before falling in love with BTS. On the contrary, in other fandoms, there may be many people who were once ARMYs. In the K-pop world, it's normal to admire an idol and then stop idolizing them for some reason.

But everyone has a different reaction to fans who have left the fandom. For example, some ARMYs may feel that people who leave the fandom are traitors and no longer need to respect them, but other ARMYs still thank those people because they supported the members in the past. Similarly, when faced with people who no longer support them, Jimin and Jungkook both have different, interesting reactions.

Although both of them reacted differently, through their actions and words, Jungkook and Jimin showed how delicate they are in front of old fans. Everything they show shows a common message that they respect any fan, whether they still love or have ever loved BTS.

First of all, Jimin's reaction was seen through an episode of the famous "imposter" show on Youtube PIXID. The situation Jimin faced was that he met a fan who was currently a Stray Kids fan but before that she was an ARMY. Specifically, during one round, a fan revealed that she was a member of the STAY fandom (Stray Kids' fans), but when meeting Jimin at the end of the show, this STAY was confused and honestly admitted that he had been is ARMY and the first concert she attended was BTS's concert.

Jimin's reaction to this revelation was hilarious as he asked Stray Kids fans where she went and what she's up to now.He asked her back: "Where have you gone now? What are you up to? We have to take her back". Not only that, but Jimin also decided to send an impromptu video message to Stray Kids Felix to ask for his understanding that Jimin wanted to bring that fan back to the "fandom". Jimin said: "Yongbok-nim (Felix’s nickname)!  I’m not taking her from you… She left home so I’m just taking her back for a bit. Please be understanding."

ARMY seemed to laugh when they saw Jimin's reaction to a fan leaving the fandom in an attempt to win her back!

Meanwhile, when faced with a similar situation of some fans no longer being members of the ARMY fandom, Jungkook had a calm but equally sweet reaction. 

Jungkook shared that he knows it's not surprising that fans come and go and that he's learned to accept situations like that. He even has the courage to say goodbye to fans who have left the fandom. Even when they no longer support him, Jungkook still that: “There are some of you who may have already left. But I still want to thank you all no matter when you used to love us. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing all those moments with us.”

Jungkook also boldly expressed his opinion about fans leaving ARMY fandom. He also did not forget to express his sincere thanks to those who care about BTS and become their fans whether they are still fans of the group or not. Jungkook thought that there were many fans who share special feelings with BTS and had been with them for a while. And for a while, they remained his fans and he treasured the love they had for the group.

Instead of clinging to or criticizing those who have left the fandom, Jungkook respects their decision and cherishes the memories more. Not only that, but Jungkook also reminded fans that they can leave whenever they want but one thing has not changed is that he and BTS are always there whenever they need it. Jungkook doesn't force but just wants ARMYs to be with BTS with sincere love. He said that: “I’ll always stay here. Whenever ARMY wants to see me, you can come here anytime. Also when you have to leave or when you want to leave, you can leave at any time. whenever you want. But as long as you remember this, I will always stay here”.

The divergence between the two members' statements has generated some humorous reactions from ARMYs on social media. Everyone loves these reactions as they all show love and gratitude even to fans who may have left the fandom in favor of other groups:
