On July 14, Jimin and Jungkook returned to Weverse Live with a one-hour broadcast, marking their first livestream since completing military service, much to the delight of fans.
During the broadcast, the duo shared some exciting updates regarding the group’s upcoming album, set for release next spring—a plan previously confirmed. Their mentions of "working hard on preparations", " To put it simply, we're on fire", "Next year spring, no matter how the results are, we must have soмєтнing right? I mean we can't delay it further"..., sparked greater anticipation from both fans and media outlets.
The two younger members also talked about their recent life in the U.S., including going shopping with RM and SUGA. The members are currently staying at BTS’s songwriting camp in Los Angeles, collaborating with major producers for the upcoming album. Meanwhile, V, j-hope, and Jin are expected to join them after wrapping up individual schedules.
While the livestream started out lighthearted and cheerful, the mood was suddenly disrupted by an unsettling moment. Mid-broadcast, Jimin appeared visibly disturbed by a pop-up notification from Weverse asking for OTP verification—soмєтнing he hadn’t initiated.
“Ahhhh who's trying to steal my ID again?”, Jimin spoke with visible discomfort but tried to smile so as not to dampen the mood. Jungkook added: “Please stop sending us these OTPs,” and Jimin stressed again: “STOP IT~”
Shockingly, it seems this wasn't a one-off incident. Jimin and Jungkook have apparently been subjected to similar intrusions repeatedly in recent times. Jungkook commented: “You already know all the info about us,” while Jimin seriously added: “Right, there's no new info to steal even AND STOP CALLING”.
The fact that both idols had to directly address the issue publicly reflects just how serious the problem has become. Fans were outraged by the unacceptable actions of certain toxic individuals and voiced concern over the alarming breach of the idols’ private information.
In truth, this isn’t the first time Jimin and Jungkook have experienced such invasions of privacy by sasaengs or intrusive individuals.
Just hours after completing his military service on June 11, 2025, Jungkook was stalked by a Chinese female sasaeng who attempted to break into his private residence in Yongsan, Seoul. He was reportedly unable to return home for several hours. CCTV footage and media reports confirmed that the woman had tried to input the pαѕѕcode multiple times before being caught by neighbors and the ρσℓι¢є.
Previously, the Golden Maknae had already addressed similar concerns during livestreams, urging fans to stop sending food to his home address, following him in public, or hanging around the neighborhood he had just moved into.
Similarly, Jimin was also subjected to sasaeng harαѕѕment during a Weverse Live broadcast with j-hope after Lollapalooza Chicago in 2022. Mid-livestream, Jimin received a call from an unknown number. He immediately responded firmly: “Don’t call me. ARMYs, don’t call.”
Despite repeated warnings from the idols and official statements from their agency—including legal threats—these invasions have continued. That Jimin and Jungkook are being targeted again so soon after their military discharge has fans more worried than ever.
ARMYs are now responding strongly on social media, voicing outrage over the escalating seriousness of the situation:
- The obsession is embarrαѕѕing—LEAVE THEM ALONE
- It's so scary....if people don't stop now ....there are high chances that the boys will NEVER COME AGAIN TO US
- "you already know all the info about us" this makes me so sad
- god how do these people even get this info? that’s crazy
- WTF?? PEOPLE ARE SO WEIRD!!!!
- REAL ARMY will never do it. Fake armys get ℓσѕт!
- what if they're just getting a bunch of spammers like i do? but i don't get random OTP requests, so that part is definitely stalkers...
- wth???? who's calling???? how do you get the numbers please stop doing thisss
- Seriously some of you need to learn the meaning of the words PRIVACY and RESTRAINT
