j-hope is not only famous for having a cheerful and nice character but also for having a great love for animals. He is famous for his stories of donating large amounts of charity money to pet foundations or rescuing an injured cat right before flying abroad.

Mickey has wнιтe and brown fur (on the head and ears) - a very typical feature of the Shih Tzu dog breed. This is a dog breed originating from ¢нιиα with a playful personality and gentle expression, so it is not difficult to understand why it captures the hearts of many fans. Not only that, j-hope's family also takes care of and grooms the pet, giving it a very cute appearance.

However, for a long time fans were not able to update Mickey's situation by j-hope due to him being in the army. According to the Youtube video MEJIWOO, j-hope's older sister spent a long time playing with the family dog. She shared while cuddling the puppy: "Mickey turns 15 this year and the reason I'm filming lots of mickey videos like this whenever I visit my parents' place is because it feels like i'm archiving Mickey on youtube so I can watch him any time. uploading them without editing much. in fact, it's my mom and dad who watch my vlog most. Mickey has bad eyesight, so he can't walk like he used to, but he still eats well, poops well, and is very interested in various places. Please eat well and stay well like you are now so that we can take pictures of you like this again on next year's Lunar New Year's Day! this sister will visit and bother you again! :) I love you, Mickey."

It is known that since around 2020, j-hope has shared about his pet dog Mickey having eye problems due to his old age. Even Mickey has undergone two important surgeries to regain his eyesight. However, the puppy's eyesight has not improved and he now seems unable to see his surroundings. But thanks to the care of j-hope's parents, Mickey's health is always in good condition.
